MSM pumping new meme: Clinton's wins STOP SD bleed to Obama
What a load of horseshit.

Clinton's Wins Halt Move of Superdelegates to Obama

Hillary Clinton scored more than just three presidential primary victories this week. She also helped freeze a movement of top Democrats set to call on her to concede to rival Barack Obama.

A group of uncommitted ``superdelegates'' were ready to make a show of support for Obama by trying to pressure Clinton to give up, said Tim Roemer, a former congressman who's rounding up backers for Obama. Now, after her wins in Texas, Ohio and Rhode Island, many will still back Obama without calling on Clinton to quit, he said.

19. Sounds like Hillary maybe stopped the hemoraging, but certainly not the bleeding.

4. I tend to agree with this one ...

There was the report that 50 super delegates were ready to jump ship. That did not happen. I suspect it's because Obama didn't carry either Texas or Ohio.

As is it seems that Hillary only picked up 8 delegates. So, it looks like this will grind on a little longer. Hillarie's strengths seem to be the Northeast and the Southwest. Obama will have to campaign hard and hit back if he wants to finish this.

8. Haven't eleven come out since Tuesday?
The Obama campaign is releasing them slowly. They're there, just not coming out as a huge block.

11. The 50 is happening.
11 since Tuesday. They are carefully moving in a planned way. Watch them continue through Friday, a Saturday win in WY will bring more. Probably someone big on the SUday talking heads, and more for MOnday and Tuesday's win in MS.

and it is the most effective way, IMO.

more hesitant at this point. But as far as I recall, the 50 mentioned a couple of days ago, were waiting in the wings to be "deployed" at the appropriate time. As far as I know, that's how the campaign paces out the endorsement announcements, at least the important ones. So the fact that we do not see a rush of SDs MAY not mean much, I don't know...

17. Watch the talking heads shows on SUnday, after a WY win on Sat.
I am hoping for a big name, Richardson, and more.

22. IMHO
both Richardson and Edwards are jockeying for positions in a future administration (I wish Richardson would stop doing that and start running for the Senate seat vacated by Domenici, if it is not already too late) and/or are enjoying the power trip of being courted by both camps. Richardson almost threw his hat in the ring a few days ago, but not quite. I may of course be completely wrong....

North Carolina.

26. Richardson ???

Richardson is in the Clinton family. That would be a pretty big blow to Hillary if that happened. If he did flip, this is a sure sign he is lobbying for a VP spot with Obama. I pegged him as being a good selection for Hillary.

He said he would go with whoever had the delegate lead.

21. you've got it all wrong. The report had nothing to do with SDs
jumping ship. The SDs lined up were unaffiliated. They aren't jumping ship from anywhere. And in the last 2 days, Obama has gotten 11 SD endorsements. Look for that to continue.

5. The media is no friend to Obama, only when it could help this
to become a "horse(shit)race". The media owes many favors to the BushClintons, and is returning them in grandiose style. Undoubtedly there would be more quid pro quo with a Hillary Presidency.

She had over a 100 SD lead right out of the blocks, before Iowa!

18. Read the last sentence again...
It actually doesn't say that the superdelegates won't continue to endorse Obama. It just says they won't ask her to quit.

Very different things. Obviously the article missed this subtlety.

Apparently not too many or she'd be trotting them in front of a camera.
