I was reading 1984. there are so many parallels between Big brother and bush its not eve funny, the control of love, the control of the rights, the control of though... your opinions

1. Read it again about two years ago

My favourite novel. Incredibly depressing these days. I turned my ex onto it and for her birthday I bought her a first edition paperback. The lesson here is don't buy girlfriends presents they won't appreciate, especially if they are unemotional fuckwits.

I'm sorry, that's sort of an "in hindsight" rule. Now I wish I had kept that book for myself. Wench.

"though" is not "thought." They are different.

Consider, too, that 1984 may be entirely new to you, but not to others here. Offer more insight into your reading rather than simple matters of control. Ask why, at first, that our society agrees with the untruths of the Bushies, and how 1984 explains why they do.
