Is Hillary auditioning for the VP position....on McCain's team?
Hillary gives another endorsement to McCain.

Has she crossed the line?

Hillary Clinton, speaking today:

“I think that since we now know Sen. (John) McCain will be the nominee for the Republican Party, national security will be front and center in this election. We all know that. And I think it’s imperative that each of us be able to demonstrate we can cross the commander-in-chief threshold,” the New York senator told reporters crowded into an infant’s bedroom-sized hotel conference room in Washington.

“I believe that I’ve done that. Certainly, Sen. McCain has done that and you’ll have to ask Sen. Obama with respect to his candidacy,” she said.

Calling McCain, the presumptive GOP nominee a good friend and a “distinguished man with a great history of service to our country,” Clinton said, “Both of us will be on that stage having crossed that threshold. That is a critical criterion for the next Democratic nominee to deal with.”

not SIMILARITIES? Isn't that what the essence of a CAMPAIGN should be????? Blows my mind

auditioning for a 'bi-partisan' P and VP position.

Makes you think Hillary will stop any investigations into GWB too.

Ok. ask for her for singlepayer health care too.

Oh...and ask for impeachment of GWB.

If she were to do all those, at this point, I might be willing to change my mind about her motives and actions.

and Jackson Stephens and other powerful figures.

Clinton sure as heck can't go after McCain's ethics on a BCCI-related matter, can she?

Obama can and also point out that HAD BCCI received its proper examination after the Dec 1992 report, there would have been no Bush2 possible, no 9-11, and no Iraq war 2.0.

The feeling is that she doesn't represent the party but rather her own self-interests. In particular, this endorsement of the GOP nominee over her Democratic opponent may have just pushed this over the edge.

39. Research.
I do freelance work analyzing trends for people working on organizing a national GOTV for the GE, which states need boots on the ground, etc. It is pretty much in a state of flux right now waiting for the Dems to get their collective sh*t together.

No worries, though. The SDs are painfully aware of the effect of Hillary's schmoozing with the opposition. Not good for the Democratic Party.

25. Leave it to Hillary Clinton to stoop lower...
...than any Presidential candidate in history.

She's a contemptible, manipulative, self-centered, reckless piece of scum.

When she's not out bashing individual states--to prop herself up a point or two--she's
out propping up the Republicans as a way of disparaging a fellow Democrat--and millions
of Democrats who support Barack Obama.

She doesn't give a shit about this party or about anything but getting her backhanded
digs in.

Obama needs to turn up the volume on his campaign. Have more rallies, starting talking in
more detail about his policies and his vision for the future. Juxtapose Obama's integrity
and character against Hillary Clinton--the human garden weasel--and people will see what
a classless jerk she is.

22. The buzz on HC is
that she now knows she can't win against Obama, so she is setting Obama up to lose, providing McCain with her nasty attacks, such as her ads with Obama wearing a white shirt his skin darken, the constant 'Hussein' references, nasty sound bites against Obama for McCain to use, etc. The HC game plan is to help McCain win, serve for one term, then HC can takes over in '12. If this isn't the HC scenario for '12, then she is doing a pretty good job of giving aid and comfort to help McCain win.

31. It is Scorched Earth
It is now so obvious ... old Hill knows that she cannot fairly win the Democratic nomination. She therefore must maim Obama so badly that McCain wins in November. At 72 years old next year, McCain is a one term president -- 2012 will be another non-incumbent contest.

And that is what old Hill is now aiming for.

She has ZERO loyalty to her political party -- it is all about her, period.

Sure, she is now basically campaigning for McCain.

33. Mark Penn (Hillary)=Charles Black (McCain) joined at the hip

Mark J. Penn is a man who wears many hats: high-paid political and corporate pollster, chief executive of an international communications and lobbying company, and chief strategist to New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's bid for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Enough connections for you?

Well, there are more. Penn's firm, Burson-Marsteller Worldwide -- with 2,000 employees and $300 million a year in revenue -- owns BKSH & Associates, the major lobbying firm chaired by Charles R. Black Jr. That's right, Black, counselor to Republican presidents, and now John McCain's advisor reports to Clinton's top strategist.

The connections get even more entangled. Burson-Marsteller is a subsidiary of WPP Group, a London-based advertising and PR giant that owns many of the biggest names on K Street. These include Quinn Gillespie & Associates, Wexler & Walker Public Policy Associates, Timmons & Co., Ogilvy Government Relations Worldwide (formerly the Federalist Group), Public Strategies Inc., Dewey Square Group and Hill & Knowlton.

To be more precise, Penn's parent company employs as lobbyists and advisers an ex-chairman of the Republican National Committee (Edward W. Gillespie), a former House GOP leader (Robert S. Walker), a top GOP fundraiser (Wayne L. Berman), and the former media adviser to President Bush (Mark McKinnon).

her ego would be happier with it. If they like McCain, it's because of his views on issues, and I can't control that.

If they like Obama better, and we have the same stance on most issues, well then that means they just like him better - and THAT "I WILL NOT STAND FOR"..

So, she props up her good buddy McCain. :eyes: Very transparent.. very typical..
