Fact-check in advance: The UAW is neutral in this primary season
If Michigan does a do-over election of some sort, the United Auto Workers endorsement would be a very big deal.

But the UAW is neutral this year, and will support the eventual nominee after the convention.

I mention this because a UAW splinter group (region 4) that covers Iowa said they were endorsing Obama back before the Iowa caucuses. But that was not "the" UAW endorsement.

Best as I can tell, the UAW did not and, at last report, will not endorse Obama or Clinton.

You may now return to regular programming.

1. Union endorsements are overrated, they won't make or break the election n/t

2. A UAW voting effort would be a big deal in a Michigan *caucus*
Less so in a primary, though still a big deal.

Bear in mind that if the UAW endorsed they would also probably run advocacy ads in MI.

I agree that union support is over-rated, but Hillary would be finished if it wasn't for AFSME.

3. The UAW is pretty much dead anyhow...
I know. I was a member for 10 years until Jan. of last year.
