the best case for Hillary..the electoral votes
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2008/03/tough_math_on_the_democratic_s.html
<snip>

Add up all the states he has won in his historic drive to become the nominee, including all of those small and deeply "red" Republican states where the Obama supporters boast of their candidate's transcendental appeal, and so far Obama has won in places representing 193 of the 270 electoral votes needed to win the presidency. Add up Clinton's victories thus far and she has triumphed in states representing 263 electoral votes.

5. Ummm. That actually justifies why Obama should be the nominee.
Blue states aren't going red. We need red states to go blue.

12. The key is big purple states: FL, PA, OH, MI
And Obama has no shot at flipping Idaho in the general.

Source. surveyusa.com, based on current head-to-head state-by-state theoretical polling of each vs McCain; Obama nets more EVs than Clinton even without Florida. Note that Obama puts Virginia into play and flips Colorado and Wyoming.

It's a very superficial way of looking at it. A lot of the red states that he won in the primaries, he has no chance of winning in the GE. Likewise, a lot of the blue states that Hillary won are not going to turn red simply because we ran Obama. A better tool to use to determine electibility would be the head-to-head polls with McCain.

10. and in the head to head polls
Obama does better than Clinton in 35 out of 48 states, with 2 tied and not counting DC.

Better luck next time OP.

13. All states are not the same. Losing FL and PA isn't the same as losing Idaho and Wyoming

14. See post # 7.
Look at the maps; based on head-to-head polling, in electoral vote projections, Obama STILL DOES BETTER THAN HILLARY, even WITHOUT Pennsylvania and Florida.
