My rant after witnessing a dem endorse a repug today: Does Anyone Want This Nut Answering The Phone?
From a column at Huffingtonpost

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/larry-david/on-the-red-phone_b_90338.html

She just disqualified herself for the nomination. Hillary Clinton telling the world she prefers McCain to Obama.

Hillary is seriously sick!!

Knowing this, about Hillary I can see Bill running to Monica and all the others, America may be in the mood to forgive Bill after this latest shocker from the lowest of the low in Hillary.

1. could not agree more!!!
and I love your collage. How do we now differentiate between Hill & McCain? They seem to both be using the same playbook.

40. I'm sure it won't be a big leap for some of her supporters....
they seem to be "right leaning" anyway. You can feel the contempt in some of their posts, they absolutely despise the netroots activists in the party. Perhaps she could pull a Joe Liebermann, and her supporters could follow?

2. That pissed me off more than I can say.
I have admired Hilary for a long time, but this was a deal breaker for me.

I know she wants to beat out Obama for the nomination, and that's fine. But praising McLame? Sorry, Hil, but I think you have jumped the proverbial shark with that one.

3. And those are the comments across the country tonight, including
Edited on Fri Mar-07-08 02:17 AM by caligirl
those New Yorkers who held fund raisers for her. Someone at Kos posted about three ladies at a Broadway show early tonight sitting in seats in front of him, one held a Manhattan fund raiser for her in her apartment and she and the other two said Hillary had gone to far. They no longer like her politics or her.

Well a small piece of Hillary's demographic (11+ / 0-)

has taken notice and do not approve.

I was sitting in a Broadway theater this evening for a "serious" bit of entertainment and there were three well-appinted women of a certain age out for the evening together who spent the pre-curtain time in dismay over Hillary's comments praising McCain and dissing Obama. Their comments included these snippets:

* "what could she possibly be thinking?"
* "her campaign gets more appalling every day"
* "... and to think I had a fund raiser in my apartment for her when she was running for Senate!"
* "she is doing such damage; it must be stopped"

But my personal favorite is some gossipy story one of the three women told of a Manhattan party that she had attended with a group of notables which included Ted Sorenson. She said that some Clinton advocate (I couldn't quite make out the name) who also attended the party made a huge gaffe by accosting Mr. Sorenson and screaming "traitor" to his face. The Clinton "surrogate" was shown the door by the party's hostess.

I must say it was a very satisfying Manhattan eavesdropping experience.

It might be suggested from this that the Clintons are even willing to burn bridges with their sources of money for this nomination.

26. ha!! that's the same thing I posted over on Kos.
... that someone needed to do an ad demonstrating Hillary's latest wild-eyed antics and then ask if this is the temperament we want responding to a crisis situation?

Specifically, though, my post mentioned using the "NAFTAgate" issue. It likely would have been a non-issue had Hillary not blindly run with the misinformation supplied by a Right Wing government and a Right Wing media source.

But now, because of Hillary's intemperate and uninformed response, the government of our neighbors to the North is in turmoil, and the leadership may even be in danger of removal.

Is this the temperament and judgment we want responding to an actual crisis? Hell, she'd probably be too busy quieting down the last crisis she'd managed to rant her way into.

54. Reagan's WETDREAM: "The era of Big Government is Over." declared by a Dem president.
Bill Clinton ACCEPTED Reagan's governing PHILOSOPHY and told the country that is the way it was going to be for both parties.

Clinton gave Ronnie Reagan the biggest gardon he ever had that night.

Save your faux outrage for the words you twist to blame Obama. Pitiful that someone like you would hang your hat on twisted words and feign outrage when you know damn well that Clinton ACCEPTED Reagan's philosophy and did so in the most PUBLIC WAY POSSIBLE.

51. She's a lot of things but nut isn't one of them. Shrewd & Calculating
that's her. She knows there is no way in hell she's going to be able to steal this nomination from Obama. And if she can't have it, then NO Democrat will. Some of you seem to be laboring under the delusion that Hillary is pro-Democrat. She's not. She's pro-Hillary. It's all about what QUEEN Hillary wants--and she has her sights set on that Oval Office. And she doesn't care how she gets there. And if she can't get there--and this year she cannot-she will take the Scarlett O'Hara route (lie, cheat, steal, kill(?)) to get there. And in this case it's the candidacy of Obama she is trying to kill. Sets her up for a 2012 run don't you know. That's what this is really all about. And she'll listen to absolutely no one who would urge her to stop--because her blind, ruthless ambition trumps everything else, party loyalty, common sense, human decency. THAT my friends is the REAL Hillary Clinton.
