Here is what I think the Obama campaign should state: that Power offers valuable insights in the area of her expertise and she will be called on in the future as a consultant to the Obama campaign in the specific areas of her expertise only. However her comments to that reporter - outside of her areas of expertise - were indefensible, and not at all representative of the Obama campaigns feelings toward Senator Clinton, and that will not tolerated by the Obama campaign. Powers in the future will not be allowed to serve as a spokesperson for the campaign, though her expertise remains important and it will be called upon as appropriate privately in the future.
