Did Obama win his State or US Senate seats fairly?Or did he cheat
Ive read he used legal means to disqualify his State Senate opponents off the ballot.
In the US Senate race Obamas opponent dropped out due to sex scandal.
Did Obama have anything to do with having the divorce trial records released to torpedo his opponent?
Is that the new kind of politics hes talking about.

1. It was the press who pushed for the divorce files to be released.
One of the Chicago papers had a lawsuit. Obama didn't push it and he would have won anyway.

27. Yes,
and if your going to insinuate otherwise then come up with a source instead of pulling accusations out of your ass.

8. some answers to your questions at the dallasobserver in an article written by spivak
/snip/"Obama joined a field of seven candidates vying to fill an open Senate seat being vacated by retiring two-term incumbent Peter Fitzgerald. For months, he polled in the middle of the pack behind frontrunner and former securities trader Blair Hull, who spent $30 million of his own fortune on the primary.

But Hull's campaign imploded just weeks before the election when his divorce files were unsealed, revealing an ex-wife's charges of verbal and physical abuse.

Obama unleashed a barrage of television ads just before the election, when the other candidates had largely depleted their war chests. He won the nomination with 53 percent of the vote.

In the general election, Obama squared off against another multimillionaire: Jack Ryan, who later dropped out of the race after a judge ordered his divorce files unsealed. The documents revealed that Ryan's ex-wife, actress Jeri Ryan, a former Miss Illinois best known for her role as Seven of Nine on Star Trek: Voyager, accused him of trying to coerce her to perform sex acts in public." /snip/

14. yuo might want to read the full article i think it has more in it than
2 opponents killed by divorce court. i was addressing the questions asked in the original OP.

if you click on the link, you'ull find out a whole lot more ... like this ..

/snip/ "A close examination of Obama's first campaign clouds the image he has cultivated throughout his political career," wrote Tribune political reporters David Jackson and Ray Long. "The man now running for president on a message of giving a voice to the voiceless first entered public office not by leveling the playing field, but by clearing it."

Three years later, in September 1999, Obama was already preparing his first U.S. Congress campaign. He ran against veteran incumbent Bobby Rush, a former co-founder of the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party.

Rush painted the largely unknown freshman lawmaker as an out-of-touch elitist and won the 2000 primary by more than 30 percentage points." /snip/

and this /snip/ "In a follow-up report published a couple weeks later, I wrote about these disgruntled black legislators and the central role Senate President Emil Jones played in Obama's revived political life." /snip/

lots more if you care to read the whole article

11. The matter does point to Obamas hypocrisy if he used dirty politics
Its a valid concern if he champions a New kind of politics.
It shows hes just empty words if he used dirty politics. It would be an example of lack of ethics or morality.

22. There is no evidence that he did.
You can wish that there is with all your wee heart, but it's just not there. There will always be innuendo from opposing camps. Maybe I'll jump in and post some against hilly. There's so much to choose from that it makes it hard to decide which smear to go for.

But the Republicans were doomed to fail in 2004. Even if they somehow convinced Mike Ditka to run. :eyes:

23. Hillary booted Nita Lowey out of the way in 2000
Lowey had served the good people of her district and the state of New York since 1988 and felt she could do even more as a senator before Hillary decided that she was a New Yorker and closed that opportunity off for a good and honorable public servant.

24. i think he mentions it in his book
He got Palmer's blessing to run for her state senate seat, but then she changed her mind and wanted her seat back, Obama being the intelligent person that he is, was suspicious about how fast she got the necessary signatures to get on the ballot and he was right, a lot of the signatures were falsified.

And secondly, Obama doesnt have the power to take anybody off the ballot. The elections board looked at the signatures and decided they where falsified so if you have any issues you should take it up with the election board not Obama
