Well it looks like the Obama campaign is in it's darkest hour as media has 24/7 coverage of Powers
Edited on Fri Mar-07-08 12:58 PM by Tropics_Dude83
Edit:

MSNBC moving into wall to wall coverage mode of this resignation.

Why?

1: 10 point loss in key and critical swing state of Ohio.
2. Very disappointing loss in TX in a state that he could have won and was ahead in.
3. HRC's wolves on the attack drawing blood every day over ridiculous stuff.
4. I just read that Samantha Power was Senator Obama's "Condi Rice." Her loss is devastating.
5. His double digit national poll lead has collapsed and HRC looks on her way to having a 10 point national lead soon.
6. The media is clearly shilling for HRC now.
7. Rezco trial providing bad PR even though Obama did nothing wrong.

I cannot think of a worse week for the Obama campaign ever. His campaign is reelng right now and is in crisis.

The good news is:
1. He has an insurmountable pledged delegate lead.
2. There are 7 weeks to turn things around and win PA.
3. He's poised for crushing 25 point victories in Mississipi and Wyoming on Saturday and Tuesday and will probably have a 150 plus pledged delegate lead again.
4. The only way HRC wins the nomination is by stealing it from the first viable African American candidate ever and with supers.
5. Hillary has not added any new superdelegates since like forever and he adds 5 per day.

So Obama is still more likely than not to be the nominee in the end. Can't lose sight of the forest but the Obama campagin is reeling right now after it's worst ever week and the blood thirsty vampires that run Senator Clinton's attack machine, err, campaign, are on the prowl.

Let's hope things turn around after Obama's 25 point crushing victories that are upcoming.

1. oh?

http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/3/7/11339/50182/559/471347

So far it's just NPR but it's a start. The are finally admitting what was evident late Tuesday night. With 41% of the Texas caucus vote in, Obama's 12 point lead (56/44) is insurmountable.

NPR is reporting a net 3 delegate lead for Obama once all is said and done.

7. Oh I know he can't mathematically lose this thing
The only question now is can HRC build a sufficiently strong case to steal the nomination from the people.

the shit-storm that's about to come.

3. he actually just won Texas
Hillary's big lead in Pennsylvania is down from 12 points to 6 in a poll I saw on CNN (this will surely fade away for the Queen).
The Superdelegate Bomb is waiting in the wings to send 50-75 more Supers his way in the next few weeks.
Queen Hillary is burning bridges and burning out right in front of us.

Things are good for Obama right now IMHO

10. it is all perception - and Obama will never be seen as the winner of Texas for the
simple reason that he lost the democratic portion of the race - the all day elections that all folks had time to get to - even the working men and women that the caucus system tends to exclude.

13. Perception doesn't count delegate votes.
Manipulating perception is a way to steal an election, but it won't win it outright.

14. Right any astute observer figured this out like last week
You're dead on dbonds. All this is about now is HRC trying to put forward a sufficiently strong case to steal the nomination. Bush V. Gore 2000 all over again.

That's why perception matters. And let there be no mistake that this is what that woman is doing.

I agree. Crushing 25 point wins will help.

18. Except the race is all but done.
No way she can win now - legitimately.

And her momentum is going in the wrong direction, she went from a 20 point lead to loosing tx in 2 weeks.

It is not all perception. It is all delegates now.
Perception matters in Early Contests because you can get Momentum and sweep to the nomination.

But now this is just a Delegate fight,
and Obama is kicking her ass.

Still whining about Caucuses? You'll be glad to know that Michigan will be holding one.

He now leads in delegate count from TX.

It isn't as gloomy as you paint it. Most of that is just media spin.

8. Well, the Obama week just got better now that he's taken the lead
in Texas and picked up more delegates in California. It would have been a whole lot better, too, if Hillary hadn't planted the NAFTA smear on him. Her campaign actually spoke to the Canadians, but it was dumped onto Obama which probably cost him dearly in Ohio. What the hell, though. She was only lying to voters - a technicality when you're out for number one.

12. not even..... he is kickkin ass and hillary is sinkin. one of the reasons
he is kicking ass is cause in hillary dirty politics, and her slow sink... he rises in desire. he is fine. acting presidential for the people to see. i feel god about obama, problem i am so disillusioned and disgusted by hillary and her supporters makes me sad how easily people can adopt bush and his supporter sttitude with the right leader. people on this board i would never expect to embrace the rove attitude are gleeful for it

15. Bullshit
He's rope-a-doped her into making critical mistakes -- she has overreached -- she can't help herself (like William).

Now you close in for the kill. Strong slams in Mississippi and Wyoming. Big press on Clinton's NAFTA lies. Hammer her on her veil of secrecy (White House records, tax returns, etc.) Bury her with questions about her half-vast foreign policy experience.

Oh yeah, this is the classic set up -- let the opposing army over-extend (as they are now), then pounce.
