Samantha Power has more class in her little finger than Hillary does in her whole campaign
What she did by resigning immediately showed the gaping hole that is the difference between the two campaigns. There is no doubt that it had to be one of the hardest decisions she has had to make. She must be writhing inside right now. Her resignation has sent a message again to everyone that the Obama campaign is centered around one man, Barack Obama. He is the sun that the rest revolve around.

In contrast Hillary has shown that there is no accountability in her campaign. Her motto has been to let everyone throw shit and see what sticks. If the media dont like it let it die out. If it dosent die out after 4 days, deny it. If that dosent work make some half- assed apology to get the story to go away.

Samantha Power is one of the birghtest new minds in America and she would be an assest advising anyone in the highest level of this nations government. I hope that she will return as a paid advisor for President Obama in 2009.

5. I read on Huffington post that all the aides say
shit about both candidates off the record and that the guy who wrote what she said got fired for breaking the journalists code of "off the record"

they had to let her go because it got out, but from what i read everyone does it and good reporters know to keep their mouths shut, that is a huge part of the job and if sources can't trust you your done in that business.

deserves to be thrown under the bus.

27. The "guy" who wrote the article is a "gal" who hasn't been fired. Power was speaking "for the
record" at the time she made the remark. Power only asked that the remark be made off the record immediately after she said it and realized her mistake. The journo was under no obligation to not report the remark since there had been no agreement in advance to take a portion of the interview off the record.

Power made a mistake. She was on a book tour overseas promoting her book. I was surprised she spoke so candidly to a reporter. Perhaps a domestic political reporter, wanting to maintain access to campaign staff, might have not have reported the remark directly, even without a previous agreement to go off the record. But Power was speaking to a Brit journo on the record and could expect no such favors.

Obama adviser resigns By NEDRA PICKLER, Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON - A Barack Obama adviser resigned Friday after calling rival Hillary Rodham Clinton "a monster."

Samantha Power, an unpaid foreign policy adviser and Harvard professor, announced her resignation in a statement provided by the Obama campaign in which she expressed "deep regret."

"Last Monday, I made inexcusable remarks that are at marked variance from my oft-stated admiration for Senator Clinton....

Power's interview Monday was published Friday in a Scottish newspaper, even though she tried to keep it from appearing in print.

20. Do you even know who she is?
Whether or not you believe she put her foot in her mouth, this woman is a Pulitzer winner who has devoted her life to exposing and trying to help with genocide. You may have problems with this one incident, but to call her a POS makes you either ignorant or so blind with Hillary love that you will throw mud at whoever without thought.

15. Look what else Samantha Power said!!!!!
Now she's telling the press not to rely on Obama's pledge about withdrawing troops from Iraq. Unbelievable. Every day I find more reason not to believe anything Obama says.

"Power tells yet another overseas interviewer that troop withdrawals might not come as fast as promised: “He will, of course, not rely on some plan that he’s crafted as a presidential candidate or a U.S. Senator.”

19. Monster
Hitler and Stalin are examples of real-life monsters. For someone who is running on judgement rather than the value of experience, it seems that Obama is showing why he shouldn't be President by associating himself with a top foreign policy advisor who doesn't have the judgement to distinguish between Hillary and Hitler. Or a science advisor who can't answer science questions at a science debate and refers reporters to the Obama web site. Or an economic advisor who creates NAFTA-gate. The office of President is not the place for neophytes.

23. Pluh-eeze. To say that Samantha Power doesn't have judgment shows your ignorance
So... she's human and put her foot in her mouth after being fed-up with the "oopsie" mud-slinging that Clinton does with no apologies. If no one calls them on it, they use it over and over, if someone calls them out, they oops and let it fade. Power put her foot in her mouth. End of story.

Power has devoted her life to stopping genocide and has done more to make this world a better place than Wolfson, Penn......... actually most people in the world. Know what you are talking about before you throw slanders as recklessly as Hillary's staff.
