Hillary's Campaign Is In the "James Baker" Phase. Controlling The Media To Steal An Election

It doesn't matter what the Clintons feed the Mediawhores in their efforts to attack Obama one way or other.

It doesn't matter if their information releases are bogus (NAFTA) or trumped-up, faux-outrage (Shame On You, Obama/Powers).

In fact, if you think it matters whether the dirt is real or fabricated, you are out of the loop.

The Clintons WILL be doing more of this.

On a constant basis.

The Clinton Campaign is essentially in their James Baker phase right now. It doesn't matter if Obama has a significant majority of pledged delegates, if Clinton has zero chance of catching up, or if Clinton's super delegate lead has nearly evaporated.

The truth doesn't matter any more than the FACT all the votes were NOT COUNTED in 2000.

James Baker dominated the airwaves and said they were. The Media played that. Gore's campaign failed to control the message & he lost the WH.

If Obama does win WY and MS this weekend, the Clintons WILL find some mediawhore or lackey somewheres to release something that can be used to bludgeon Obama with.

Whining about how unfair the mediawhores are or how dishonest and fucked up Hillary's camp is here on DU doesn't solve the problem.

If Obama's campaign can't control the message, he will not win the nomination.

And up until the Obama campaign has been less than stellar.

It isn't enough to demand Clinton's tax returns. Clinton just says "April 16th" and since the Obama camp didn't specify "returns for the last 2 years" it seems like a non-story.

And furthermore, Obama's camp failed to frame the tax return issues as one of Open Government. He has strong policy proposals on this. Why can I figure this out, but Axelrod can't?

Either Axelrod fucking steps it up a notch or I am going to become severely pissed.

10. New Obama message?

The new Obama message when responding to the Clinton campaign needs to be, "The Clinton campaign has been saying a lot of things lately, but, as you all know, everything they say needs to be taken with a grain of salt."

That "grain of salt" reference needs to be out there - tied to the Clinton campaign. It's not negative, and it references the Clinton complicity in NAFTA-Gate.

They also need to refuse to concede the media's new mantra of "tit for tat." ALL political cheap shots are NOT equal. Some are "politics as usual." Some are beyond the pale. Obama has not been stooping to EITHER type of attack. That needs to be pointed out CONSTANTLY.
