Do you think Obama's campaign should be sued for defamation of character?
Edited on Fri Mar-07-08 02:55 PM by Auntie Bush
I do! Before you say it was OK because it was the truth...that's in the mind of the beholder and hasn't been proved...other than internet and DU ravings. It's a term about her that will be repeated over and over. That's a defamation of character...and very inappropriate considering who she was talking to.

The word monster connotes something wrong; e.g.: a monstrous being is: very morally objectionable.

He has a lot more reason to sue Hillary's campaign
than vice versa, a LOT more. Let's see, she's smeared him with drug user/pusher (FALSE!), Muslim (FALSE!), Madrassa-educated (FALSE!), etc., etc. It's been nothing but nonstop smearing and dissing from her and her campaign and she has the unmitigated goddamned gall to claim this? What utter and total bullshit. Fucking crybaby. Is she gonna use her crocodile tears to pander yet again now?

And she claims to be able to handle RW tactics and smears, but she can't take anything at all from Obama? Good fucking grief. She ain't a Queen and she's not automatically entitled to the nomination like she thinks she is and like she claimed she would be. Candidates have the right to run against her and people have the right to vote for other candidates besides her. All of this is nothing more than sour grapes that she can't just cakewalk to the nomination. I mean, what does she think this is, anyway, a democracy?

One cannot sue on that basis.

19. Is this post a joke?
I hope so. Because if its serious, somebody must be off their meds. Assuming that you mean "defamation" before you make a statement like "that's defamation of character" you actually ought to learn something about what you are writing about. It wasn't defamation, no court would ever hold it to be so in a million years, the "campaign" couldn't be sued for what one of its volunteers said in any event, and you have succeeded in doing only one thing -- making yourself out to be a know-nothing fool.

Sorry, that's not defamation either.

20. (1) If they did, they'd be counter-sued about 100 times for all the filth they've spewed.
(2) They can't be - Hillary Clinton is a public figure and can't sue over a label or description of her.
(I've left out #3 - that nothing that was said was untrue - because #2 makes it a moot point.)

26. That is yalls whole Campaign isnt it?
LAWSUIT LAWSUIT LAWSUIT SUE SUE SUE!!! I NO WIN!! WAAAAAAAAA SUE SUE!!!

Oh and BTW I know the laws regarding such as I have had to fend off Slanderous attacks before. If Clinton EVEN thinks about trying that Obama can sue her for SO MUCH MORE!!!

She will not do it because she isn't stupid enough to go for yet another threat of lawsuit when everyone is all over her about it.

And if Clinton wants to sue me for saying that in my view she is a monster? She can go ahead! I will relish the chance to aid her political destruction! Keep in mind that Cluster Bomb vote, IWR, The rape trial she was disgustingly involved in (in my view), NAFTAgate and all that bullshit can be talked about as it pertains to the use of "Monster"

It wont fly with me! It wont fly with Obama! And it sure as hell wont fly with the voters!
