Simple solution to FL & MI delegate mess that will never happen.
Split the pledged delegates from FL & MI 50/50 between Hillary & Obama.

If there is an odd number, flip a coin to see who gets the 1 extra delegate.

None of FL or MI's Superdelegates would be allowed to vote at the convention.

That way you punish the party leaders responsible while not disenfranchising the voters who are inoocent in this mess.

Problem solved.

10. IIRC, the problem with that approach
Is that Obama was not on the Michigan ballot, and also did not make any appearances in Florida (I don't recall if he was on the ballot or not).

Forgive me if my memory fails me.

13. Geoff, BO was on the ballot in FL and HE was the only one to
have an ad in the state. In MI he removed his name, he didn't have to, he chose to. That's one example of less experience. I do believe, Kuch. and Gravel also stayed on the ballot along with Hillary

7. That's been floated a couple of times
but nobody's biting, apparently. It seems like the simplest and fairest thing to me.

8. Sounds fair to me!
Perhaps you might consider sending a note to the DNC. :)

11. No.
Of course, I can't speak for Floridians, but as a Michigan voter, I'm against giving Obama *any* of the delegates elected in our primary, because he took his name off the ballot to pander to Iowa/NH. Please note that I'm not so much mad at him as I'm mad at the DNC for continually enabling Iowa and NH's bullying, by insisting that they remain "first". THAT is what needs to change, and it won't change if the DNC pays no real price for doing it again and again, every four years.

The only "solutions" acceptable to me are 1) keep the "rules" and deny the delegates in toto; 2) revote (in a primary where people who work for a living can particiapte); 3) Seat the delegates as elected (not bloody likely, I know).

12. I think that has already been mentioned to FL. Hillary wants seated "as is."
She is not going to get them seated "as is". Hell will freeze over first.

It is amazing how everyone keep talking about FL and MI delegates, when are not any. There never were any.
