I Am Taking A Hiatus From DU

I just learned that a close friend of mine's dad has died...Her mother in law died a few days ago...Her mom died right before Christmas...I can't imagine losing two parents in such a short time...I just can't...My dad died when I was fourteen but my mom, God bless her, is ninety years old and still alive but now she's having problems due to poor circulation in her remaining leg...She has been an amputee since 1996..In an ideal situation they can do a femoral-popliteal bypass to improve the circulation but surgery of that magnitude is very,very risky for a person of her age...She still is able to enjoy life- go out to eat from time to time, go to the movies, etcetera...I love her so much...


Anyway, my getting in verbal altercations here to say it mildly is not putting me in the right state of mind to order my life and make the decision I need to make... I have a small business and my mom to look after...

15. My husband lost both his parents within a few months of each other

I didn't know him at the time but it was apparently a shock and a very trying time for him. Both died of natural causes but both deaths were unexpected. Take all the time you need to take for your friend. I'm sure she will welcome your presence in her life right now.
