Tell me why I need to vote
This happens to me all the time. Somehow politics always ends up being just like the bad boyfriends I had back in college. I always give it the benefit of the doubt and I always end up hurt and disappointed.

That is how I am feeling now. And I will be honest and say that I am infuriated at Hillary Clinton. She is just like the worst date I ever had. The one where I took a cab home after pretending to go to the restroom.

She has thrown cold water all over the place.

I am just sick of it already and have had crazy thoughts of tuning out, ignoring the entire rest of the election season, and not bothering to vote on election day.

I need to see Obama find a way to be a gentleman and still give it back to her in spades. There was a long period of time when it would have been just fine with me if she was the nominee. I can't stand the sound of her voice now.

2. There are other things to vote for than president.
SCOTUS, local issues, congress (fed and state), so forth. School funding. Maybe some other issues. There is lots to vote for other than president. And, you don't have to vote for everything, you can leave some parts non-filled in.

5. How do you VOTE for Supreme Court Justices?
they are presidential appointments that have to be ratified by the senate

8. Which brings you to voting for people who will appoint/ratify decent ones.
If you can't vote for pres candidate that will do this, vote for senate ones who will.

15. As you said, has to pass through senate.
Get an overwhelmingly decent senate and it will help.

4. I think the worm is starting to turn Harry
I'm seeing people who have defended The Monster at all costs start to say "you know what? she's gone too far-I'm now voting for Obama" It has begun-my question is where are the party elders and where is THEIR outrage? The Bill Richardson's, Al Gores and John Edwards' why haven't they said enough is enough?

6. Because there will probably be people in local races that are good and decent
At a national level things are corrupt because let's face it, the money required to compete at that level screws everything up.

However, there's probably someone you've never heard of in your locality that could make a positive difference in your life.

7. Just do what I plan to do if Hillary steals the nomination
Either write in Obama or skip the presidential box all together. Your progressive candidate for congress needs your vote so you don't have to vote for Rove tactics but still vote for progressive principles.

As far as the supreme court thing - that's how they maintain their grip on power. They threaten you with the boggeyman supreme court nominee. If you feel as I do, don't fall for it and become an enabler to the corruption (again, assuming Hillary steals the nomination) and vote your heart and your conscious and don't give her your vote, but vote for candidates you believe in.

After Obama, there is no more "lesser of two evils" at least not for this progressive.

12. In other words, a right wing, neo-fascist SCOTUS for the rest of our lives.

13. Because to many people died for your right to do so.
It seems sort of lame not to take the time to do so, IMO.
