Hillary Clinton: Please don't ABANDON the Dems in Michigan like Barack Obama did.
Hillary Clinton did not campaign in Michigan. And even though TEH RULES says that no primary shall be held before Super Tuesday, Dean decided to circumvent TEH RULES and allow South Carolina to have it's primary earlier. Florida and Michigan notified everyone when they'd vote, period. TEH RULES should apply to everyone. Barack Obama said to take his name off the michigan ballot (if TEH RULES were so important to him, why'd he leave it on the ballot in Florida? Oh, that's right....he needs to have it both ways. wow. He reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally took a stand there)

So here are the FACTS:

Hillary Clinton probably should have spent more money in red state caucuses. It was sort of foolish for her to not compete that heavily in those open to republican caucuses, where Barack Obama CLEARLY carries the Republican vote. Shit happens.

and

Barack Obama should not have taken his name off of the Michigan ballot. It was a sucker bet, and he got suckered.

It's nice to know that Hillary won't be suckered into turning her back on the good people in the state of Michigan.

And I hope she fights for their delegation. They had their vote, and they made their choice. He's the stupid ass that allowed his name to be taken off the ballot. That's his fault, not hers.

1. Your logic fails so hard.
It's MI and FL fault that they broke the rules. With your logic they should be held accountable for their "stupid ass" decisions.

24. TEH RULES say that no primary shall be held before Super Tuesday.
TEH RULES should apply to all the states, or none of them. Barack Obama abandoned the people in Michigan while he had no problem breaking TEH RULES for South Carolina.

Hillary won't abandon either. Snapperhead is my nickname for you. (actually for everyone, like mook)

44. Yes, but they actually negotiated with the DNC to move the vote.....
Listen, South Carolina did it honestly. They took the time to argue with the DNC and pushed the primary up with a good argument and the final blessing of the DNC. No one in the DNC threatened SC because they did it through negotiation. What FL and MI did was against the rules and they were told not to front load the primaries.

Don't get all pissy because someone enforced the rules. In the end FL and MI disenfranchised themselves. If they didn't move up their primaries they would have both been major players.

Take it up with Granholm and the MI Congress.

Hillary will not benefit from MI, and she may just shoot herself in the foot by getting them so excited about this that they hold Caucuses.

We all know she sucks hard at Caucuses.

ALL the candidates took their names off the ballot in Michigan, because the DNC ruled their primary invalid. ALL the candidates do so, except Clinton. Everyone else in the campaign played fairly, except Hillary. How is it you don't understand this??

FOR CHRIST'S SAKE....

NHPR's Laura Knoy: "So, if you value the DNC calendar, why not just pull out of Michigan? Why not just say, Hey Michigan, I'm off the ballot?"

Hillary Clinton: "Well, you know, It's clear, this election they're having is not going to count for anything"

18. And so did Edwards, Dodd, Biden, Richardson ... even HILLARY
intended to take her name off, but her paperwork "didn't get filed on time" so
her name ended up staying ON the ballot. Maybe Mark Penn was in charge of
that paperwork but he was too busy "strategerizing" to do it in a timely manner.

37. That's a damn lie. Not that I expect anything more from a delusional Obamatoon:
"Senators Hillary Clinton of New York and Chris Dodd of Connecticut - who, like all of the Democratic candidates, have pledged not to actively campaign in the state - chose to remain on the ballot."
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22054151

"The Clinton campaign said she will not withdraw from the Michigan ballot because it is unnecessary to do so."

15. Wait -- South Carolina was PERMITTED to have their primary early
It was one of the 4 early states (Iowa, NH, SC and Nevada) that were APPROVED by the DNC.

Any states that went after those first 4 states but BEFORE the Feb. 6th window opened were
on notice that they would be PENALIZED. Florida has an excuse because their primary was
moved up mostly due to its Rethuglican-controlled state legislature. Michigan also moved
up its primary (and broke the rules), but I haven't heard of any extenuating circumstances that
"twisted its arm."

ALL major candidates agreed to remove their names from the Michigan ballot (I think Dennis
Kucinich and Mike Gravel were the only ones not to agree to this), including Hillary. From
what I've heard, it was her INTENT to remove her name as well, except "her paperwork didn't
get completed in time." Yeah, right ...

MI broke the rules and was properly sanctioned. If they want a re-do, fine. Pay for it and give both camps time to campaign. Should be after the rest are over. Got no problem with that under those conditions.
