I will say that, at this time last year I was trying to find a cool "Hillary '08" bumper sticker on the web for my car. I have since, due to debates, speeches, etc. decided that I preferred, and would support, Obama.

My question for Hillary supporters is this.....Why do you all think that all of a sudden people like Keith Olberman, Rachel Maddow (Air America), Michael Moore (see his web page today), etc. have somehow been "corrupted" into hating Hillary? These people are some of the VERY few who spoke truth to power about the Bush & Co. BS when doing so was not exactly popular....

A lot of people just realize who the better (not necessarily "qualified") candidate is, or at least which of the two is more positive and optimistic about the future. America craves this like crack right now.

But I like Hillary Clinton a lot, don't get me wrong... I think she's super clever and witty and could make a great president if she could get more positive, or at least indicate to people that she doesn't believe in what she's saying. (As if Repub McCain has more qualifications to be president over another Dem...??)

Michael Moore supported Nader and called Gore the same as Bush in 2000 for this reason. He is too smart to really have believed that nonsense. He figured that taking a far left position would improve his ability to sell movies and books.

For Rachel Maddow, supporting Obama gives her more relevance with a youthful audience. She probably already has a female audience.

For KO, he fell in love with Obama when he had the bright idea to play Obama then McCain speaking back to back and he decided that Obama would beat McCain in a general election. KO is a simple soul who looks at politics as a sport---like boxing---and he imagines it will be just Obama and McCain traveling around the country speaking and that Obama will out perform McCain like two boxers stepping into the ring. He has no idea what real political campaigns are all about or how many ways Obama could fail in front of a hostile press corp or how a hostile press could tear Obama's character to shreds.

I am sure that there are plenty of people who support Obama for sensible reasons, but I would not look for them among the ranks of "celebrities".
