Do Cindy and John ever hold hands. They seem at odds with each other all the time.

11. Have you notice this about Bill and Hillary
Watch for this as it was pointed out to me. They never kiss on the lips. I watched the other night and Hillary gave Chelsea a big kiss like a mother gives a daughter, and Bill came running over (act like carter did chasing Teddy on the stage to get him to stand together, remember that, amazing)but she would only lightly touch cheek to cheek. Interesting. Remember the kiss the Gore's had.

We should stir this up so she will take kissing lesson like she did acting lessons recently and I would love to see them kiss.

29. Yeah. Me too.
I don't much like either of them, and I have big policy issues with both, but they've definitely got their points and I always felt that they were a true couple: friends and soulmates.

They're both extremely competitive and they're both rather flawed, but they're tough and they seem to genuinely respect and enjoy each other. When Hillary had to face the ridicule and assorted uglinesses of the prying vultures during the Monica incident, she was obviously hurt, mad and human.

Nobody's relationship is really anybody else's business, and much of it is unknown to more than the closest of friends and family, but certain things do shine through, and that always seemed "right" about them.

10. The story is quite colorful. Drugs, theft, then a stroke,
And the thing is, have you seen her "hug" him? She barely touches him. They look like strangers. Now that there is talk of his affair, I wonder exactly what is going on. I think it's all kabuki theater, especially if you watch her eyes. She's hiding alot. I think she's hiding everything.

34. McCain has a terrible temper.
Cindy acts like an abused wife (emotional, not physical, abuse) when she is with him. Her stiffness is not entirely due to her stroke. I think she is afraid. I have dealt with a number of abused women, so I'm not talking off the top of my head.

37. You know what is odd.
Google does not have a photo of Carol Shepp McCain, John McCain's first wife. I find that odd. She must be a well known, prominent person in her own right. But there is no photo of her on Google images.

I think she's just a distraction because he's really not camera friendly. The thing is, if he were a great candidate, that wouldn't matter.

These two are the face of the GOP? Really?

31. You are creepy and so are the lame dimwitted remarks about Cindy in this thread
May you experience the same ills she has had

Now for what she has done, out of compassion (you may need a dictionary for the word)

Was it her adopting a deathly ill child in Bangladesh, without even talking to her husband first, the child that was used as a political smear in the 2000 election (the black baby) that 'inspires' you? Or are you not one of the hopeful and inspired Democrats?

http://www.dadmag.com/archive/060400jmccain.php

Dadmag: Your youngest daughter Bridget is adopted. Why did you decide to adopt Bridget?

McCain: Well it was primarily my wife's Cindy's idea. She was in Bangladesh and she and some of the medical personnel visited Mother Theresa's orphanage to try and help the children there. There were two little baby girls there. One had a heart problem the other a severe cleft palate. Cindy was very concerned about their ability to survive and their need for medical treatment, so she decided to bring them here for medical treatment. She fell in love with both of them. We decided to adopt Bridget. Two close friends of ours, adopted Mickey, the other child.

Dadmag: You knew about your wife's decision before hand?

McCain: (laughs) No. She arrived and said "Say hello to your new little daughter."

Dadmag: A bit of a shock?

McCain: Yes indeed.

Dadmag: And how has it worked out? Are you happy with the decision to adopt Bridget?

McCain: Oh yes! She has enriched our lives. She's a wonderful child, a complete part of our family and we love her.

Dadmag: Your other children accepted her well?

McCain: Oh yeah sure. She's the toughest of the four. The youngest always has to be the toughest.

Dadmag: During your campaign for the Republican Presidential nomination Bridget became something of an issue in South Carolina didn't she?

McCain: Yeah. There were some pretty vile and hurtful things said during the South Carolina primary. It's a really nasty side of politics. We tried to ignore it and I think we shielded her from it. It's just unfortunate that that sort of thing still exists As you know she's Bengali, and very dark skinned. A lot of phone calls were made by people who said we should be very ashamed about her, about the color of her skin. Thousands and thousands of calls from people to voters saying "You know the McCains have a black baby" I believe that there is a special place in hell for people like those.

He has been the senator here for years, and although I may not agree with him, I do respect him and his family, many Americans do, even if they disagree with him politically. Personal attacks are only going to increase support for him. Particularly unfounded ignorant ones like yours.
