I miss JE ...
Edited on Sat Mar-08-08 12:11 AM by sjdnb
God I wish Gore would have jumped in and grabbed JE for his running mate.

Neither O or H bring anything, but the same old political maneuvering or corruption to the table.

AG/JE in 2008! Or, our country is doomed to four-eight more years of incompetence, ambition, and/or corruption.

1. Me too but remember at '00, JE was just starting on his Senatoral career
so Gore had no alternative but go to Lieberman, although I would have picked someone a little bit more soft, like Feingold, Graham or someone else.

2. I know, but the fact that the country is ready for change, but
left with these two losers (O and H) for candidates, is so depressing.

Either Al or John would do so much more for us.

17. I love Russ - know him personally ... but, I would not want him
to subject himself to the crap he'd face if he ran.

'cool' to know him. Really, he's just a normal guy who happens to be pretty terrific.

24. If it weren't Russ, I'd feel the same way ...
I just have known him for so long, it struck me as funny, at the time.

But, even though I know him pretty well ... yeah, I still think he's VERY special.

6. as a voter, I'd be happy with a better choice than either of them
I voted for a candidate who had already withdrawn from the race rather than either of these two

7. Good for you ... the rest of us are just concerned with what is best
for 90% of the country - rather than you're party's desired outcome.

8. Most Americans would welcome Gore, he has paid his dues,
And most small amount donors would be happy with Gore but the big spenders would be pissed, they want the influence they paid for.

5. If someone with more clout than we could convince Gore to throw his hat in the ring ...
Edited on Sat Mar-08-08 12:20 AM by sjdnb
with JE as his VP, I have no doubt, they'd win handily.

And, JE would go on to win in eight years.

And, I'd be able to keep my home, send my kids to college, and no more of our brave men and women would die for oil or to fill the pockets of war profiteers.

11. They'll not lose a thing ... but, we will if they continue on
this course. None of the 'big wigs' ever lose anything - just watch today's housing hearings if you doubt me --- the Countrywide CEO is whining because he had to pay taxes on his wife's airfare (while taking home over $400 million in salary and stock profits), while his customers are losing their middle class homes left and right ... cuz, how could he do his job without the ability to take his wife on trips with him fare AND tax free -- just goes to show how out of touch with the reality the rest of us face, every day, these white collar criminals and their political allies are.

Kick them all out! Now!

14. thats why I voted Edwards....he's the one that
was talking about taking on the undue influence of 'big wigs'.
We're successful enough...but we want a better future for our children than the direction of the country is leading.

10. I agree we deserve better candidates --- but not that Gore represents that ---
he had his shot at it ---

Look --- the only way that the Repugs can keep the WH is by stealing it ---
Are you really going to be shocked if that happens again ---

Are you in agreement with those people who think all these stolen elections were
problems with Democratic candidates --- ???

Some of this stuff really needs to be re-thought ---

15. No, he actually won ... I was there, in the 'thick of it' so to speak
and, it was stolen - plain and simple.

And, now unless someone with his vision and ethics (AG and/or JE) step into this 'fray' we will be relegated to settling for the same or just insignificantly better than the same. That is what O and H both represent.

18. I wish Kucinich were around, he was the only one talking about...
the real issues like impeachment, the war, bushs friend and the oil deal in Iraq, the attack on our rights and the constitution. I mean he was really out there trying to speak about the bread and butter but he was blacked out by the media and the sheeple followed. Why people didn't want his voice out there speaking about the hardcore issues, I will never understand?

20. Well, I wish Wellstone were still here ... he was the best
and, while Kucinich may have good intentions and have the right ideas, he will never be elected to a position that will lead us out of this abyss -- because of his political ineptness.

But, Gore or Edwards still could.

23. I was just stating that I wish he were around so the message was...
being heard, instead, we just heard the same things over and over by the candidates and allot of question dodging. When he was asked something, he was pretty to the point. I know thats not good politics in America because we look for the cool media sound bite for our guidance but it was beautiful hearing the word impeachment of the crooks on national tv, I only wish one of the candidates would have had the courage to even comment on it after he brought it up. I don't remember any of them touching it, either they had no courage or they are too close to the same agendas of those crooks.

They could have at least touched the serious topics before they left the campaign but they are the only ones that know why they didn't.

Edited on Sat Mar-08-08 01:03 AM by sjdnb
but, unfortunately, many are too close minded to vote in their best interests because of the illogical crap the M$M feeds them - (aka Dennis' inability to wage a viable campaign).

I fail to see that the campaign since his departure has helped the party at all.
