Clinton's politics of fear
Read it here
The commercials turned the tide in Ohio and Texas. They were targeted at older people who would recognize an old-fashioned handset, one that was to represent the "hot line" -- the phone link between the Soviet Union and the United States during the Cold War designed to avert nuclear catastrophe.

<snip>

The point is that Clinton is becoming a spoiler. In terms of support, Obama deserves to be the nominee because he has racked up millions more votes in more primaries than she has and almost double what Mc-Cain has generated. He is a new, bright voice and is offering Americans a clear-cut choice between a team looking for new policy ideas and one, such as McCain's or Clinton's, that's simply more of the same, which is, by most accounts, not working very well.

Hillary appeals to the Republican (read, fearful and not concerned enough to investigate statements) wing of the Democratic Party where simple 6 second solutions to complex world problems and situations exist. The Clintons' use of war and fear mongering are the same tactics used by the Republican party. The Clintons' scorched earth campaign are the same tactics used by the Republican party. The Clintons' use of the military as photo ops was perfected by the Republicans and now the Clintons trot generals out on stage.

Demanding hard commitments on policies and methods to end the Iraq war is laughable. Freezing interest rates, wages, and foreclosures has already be tried and it does not work, but it sounds good. What's missing in her policies is a commitment to end the tax breaks for the corporations that fund her campaign (and Bill's library).

So, Hillary, where are those tax returns? Why can't we see them now?
