They act as if WY didn't happen, MS doesn't exist, the race is tied, and PA is the winner-take-all electoral Super Bowl.

productive about this before the general election.

Doesn't matter who you support, your candidate has been hit.
The MSM has manipulated our whole process.

12. In essence, she is right. Clinton has no way to make up the difference at
this point. The whole thing will come down to the superdelegates. The remaining primaries only matter in terms of how the wins/losses might impact the superdelegates' choices.

23. And that's why I have to, unfortunately, agree with Tucker Carlson on MSNBC
today, when he says that Hillary's negative campaigning is to show the supers that she's tough and a fighter.

I disagree with him that this is necessarily what the supers are looking for, because I think that even the supers are going to be turned off to what Hillary is doing to the party. And the supers will also be looking downticket and who can pull along those candidates.

32. There is no way for Hillary to catch up
So it doesn't matter how many primaries we have. The Supers are going to decide this so it's time to tell them to step up and figure it out. And, btw, I haven't voted yet and I don't care one way or the other. It's time to face reality about this primary. Either the Supers are going to give it to Hillary or they're going to support the people.

6. You do know that Hillary gained nothing from her OH win.. and Obama won
Edited on Sat Mar-08-08 07:46 PM by K Gardner
the caucus in TX and won the most delegates in TX.. and Obama picked up more delegates from California from recounts, and they're recounting ballots in NY Harlem that were not even counted for him, and he's picked up superdelegates this week.

So he's still ahead in states, popular vote total, delegate total and catching up on SDs.

I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not, but yes, that's an entirely fair summary of the news coverage. And its ALL we'll hear from Tweety and MSNBC because that's Tweety's hometown and he thinks he knows everything and will continue to try to drive the coverage.

He just tonight tried to say "Its a win for Bill Clinton with the party bosses of PA", and was summarily shot down by both his PA guests.

Edited to say: Just saw your subthread post and realized youre slamming the MSM.. agreed :hi:

Today reinforces the point.

As far as todays result go, it was Hillary's day from the media perspective. She held him to a +2 or +3, which was enough for them to run with the PA is a BIG DEAL stories tonight.

and yet texas was somehow a victory for her as well even though that was supposed to be all her's.... oh, i guess for the same reason, that she "held" him to just a few delegates!!

i suppose maybe obama should be declared the winner of any state that awards more delegates to clinton???

33. right, the narrative is so much more important than the actual news!
once it appeared possible for mrs. inevitability not to win in a cakewalk, the media loved it and propped obama up.
then once it became apparent that obama was actually the front-runner, it became his turn to be torn down.

what fun it must be to be a pundit! well, let them have their fun now, because the general election won't be close. they'll be down to how many seats in congress the republicans will lose....

and in the ones that the didn't, he still came out almost even or even ahead in delegates and the media still tries to give the edge to Hillary.

The media is why John Kerry lost in 2004. And they will ride the HRC/Obama race all the way to the convention because it brings the networks ratings and ratings mean money to them. The hell with the country.

(*Obama Not on Michigan Ballot; Iowa, Nevada, Washington & Maine Have Not Released Popular Vote Totals)

So RCP aren't really accurate.

The info at the delegate hub floating around tonight, re:the two news services numbers, isn't sourced. So, IMO, it's not to be taken as accurate either...

you like against these. The reason why the vote totals have not been released, is because they have not been released. Once the state releases the totals they will be included.

56. This might help...
A note about caucus states: In these states (West Virginia, Kansas, Minnesota, North Dakota, Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, and American Samoa), voters meet in small groups to choose their nominee. Some caucuses may not release popular vote totals -- in this case, the indicated percentages refer to the proportion of delegates won. Delegate counts in some caucuses may also be tentative until officially decided at state party conventions.

ABC: Hillary Clinton has received 13,568,891 votes so far in primaries and caucuses while Sen. Obama has received 13,565,339.

NBC/MSNBC: Hillary Clinton has received 13,521,832 votes so far in primaries and caucuses while Sen. Obama has received 13,497,175.

In addition to the overall lead in votes, Hillary holds a significant lead in votes among Democrats. Hillary has received nearly 10.3 million votes among Democrats so far while Sen. Obama has received 9.2 million.

58. CNN headline today: "Key to the nomination?"
This was the onscreen headline for an extended time this afternoon. The dopes at the Clinton News Network are too dense to realize that they keep telling us how PA is a lot like Ohio and Clinton netted 9 whopping delegates there. Pennsylvania will not decide the nomination.

Has either MSNBC or CNN touted North Carolina as the key to the nomination? It has 115 pledged delegates, and with Indiana (72 delegates) also voting on May 6, they are more important than Pennsylvania's 158 delegates.

Likewise, why was Ohio so all-important, but a sizable swing state like Virginia with 83 delegates was not? Obama netted 25 delegates out of Virginia to Clinton's net of 9 for Ohio, and his popular vote margin was also larger.

The Clintons have cherry-picked the few states that are favorable to them and convinced the media that they are the big showdown states for the nomination. On May 7th we'll start hearing how the battleground state that will decide the nomination will be West Virginia.

Clinton, John McCain, and a media that has purposely ignored the fact that Obama has been ahead in the race since they started counting votes in Iowa. His candidacy is one of the great political stories of our time, yet all we hear is Hillary, Hillary, Hillary. Hillary's mad today, Hillary's happy today, Hillary said this about Obama today, what will Hillary do next? It's almost as if Obama is an afterthought.

63. I've said before and I'll say again:
Obama's goalposts are being moved ever further away, Hillary's are moved ever closer, as this race goes on. On MSNBC tonight, they were actually describing Obama's campaign as a "losing" campaign, offering him advice on how to turn it around, as if he was on the ropes. It was stunningly unreal. Two weeks ago he was running a brilliant campaign, and now he's all washed up, "needs a new message", can't stop making mistakes, he's a weak pussy, he can't fight back, etc. I am getting to the point where I can't watch this shit, it's so obvious what they're doing.
