Can a Superdelegate(s) ever be bribed?
Putting on my tinfoil for a minute. :tinfoilhat:

Because at this point, there's no telling what HillBillary "kitchen sink" Clinton would be capable of. The more Obama wins, the more desperate they become. The Clintons have shown that they are capable of anything, and are no strangers to past shady dealings. If I were as ruthless as those two to get my way, I would at least try. Perhaps by slipping suitcases full of cash to certain SDs in an attempt to influence the delegate voting? Or, consider hiring a hitman to take out Obama's kneecaps, ala Tonya Harding? Well, you know what they say, hell hath no fury like a Clinton scorned.

1. Of course they can
Why would you ever think otherwise?

Everyone has their price.

Well, almost everyone.

I'm priceless. :)

4. Another reason why the primary process is deeply flawed.
SDs can be bought off.

2. Yes, but don't worry--Obama has given them over 2x what Hillary has.
Obama. Yes, Obama. Hope. Change. "New" politics. Right.

30. Nonetheless, it's true
Obama has given far more money to superdelegates than Clinton.

70 virgins - only here on earth, not in heaven. I mean hell, what can you do with a virgin when you're a ghost? It's sometimes difficult enough when one is actually all there.

13. Many superdelegates are elected officials who accept donations.
Including donations from "leadership PACs" associated with presidential candidates.

This is another reason why we should get rid of the superdelegate system for 2012.

15. I don't think it would be about money for most SD's
but political favors, jobs, consulting gigs... that could all happen for the right amount of loyalty.

One of the pissers in this contest is since they're both senators, another senator, say, DiFi or Boxer, would have to think VERY carefully about an endorsement. The winner goes to the White House. The loser... you're stuck with in the senate.

I'd hope both Obama and Clinton would have the political maturity to work with a fellow dem that endorsed the other, but who is to say how these things are played out?

23. If the SDs voted by secret ballot
it would eliminate or at least greatly discourage their exposure to illegal influences,
since the extorter has no way of knowing how they truly voted.

24. Obviously since a bunch of Ohio SD's are essentially demanding one
Not a bribe, bribe suitcase full of money - but they are making quid pro quo demands for their votes. Quite frankly I'm about tired of Ohio. They need to improve their education system and invest in some new industries and quit whining about the manufacturing and steal industry that is not coming back. But I digress :).
