don't underestimate Obamas Coattails

"The win gives Democrats another House seat until at least the end of the year. It also could serve as an omen for November, when two other Illinois congressional seats are up for grabs following Republican retirements and Sen. Barack Obama could bring out a huge turnout if he's the Democratic presidential nominee"

This is a big advantage to Obama. Obamas Coattails is something I believe super delegates will weigh heavily in their decisions. That why it is important that we have a 50 state strategy

1. Something the superdelegates remember too well
...is that the Clinton's have no coattails.
Zero Zippo Zilch
If we want Congress and more critically, if we want
to change the Supreme Court, then we need the candidate
with the greatest most inclusive coattails.
We're going to need big change and that
just isn't the Clinton's forté.

2. This Had Nothing To Do With Obama
They were sick and tired of fat Denny Hastert. That and the fact that Oberweis is a less than stellar candidate led to this victory. It had nothing to do with Obama.

4. There are going to be more dems win in the House and Senate
regardless who wins. BO had no more to do with it than Hillary, nothing. If they had considered BO the dem would have lost.

5. I think you're right.
Obama did some ads for him. But that really didn't matter. When it comes down to it, Bill Foster was a much better candidate. Oberweis is a loser in Illinois politics.
