What experience prepares one for the "3am phone call"?
Who in the world would have had the experience to handle the 9/11 call? I am sure that many would have handled it much better than bush did, but who would have had the "experience" on 9/10/01?

We live in an uncertain world? Past experience isn't necessarily relevant in todays world. The popular term is "post 9/11 world". So no one has more than 6 1/2 years experience. In my eye, they are all virgins.

I want the one that is going to relate to people of all different backgrounds. We desperately need to improve international relations. Has our previous foreign policies worked? So is "experience" the real issue??? His experience, or lack there of, isn't an issue with me, and it shouldn't be an issue for anyone else.

We need change! Change implies something new...so who is really experienced for what this country faces?

2. Besides, why would it happen at 3 a.m.?
Seems to me our disasters happen during the day, during rush hour or something.

Hillary doesn't even have the time of day right.

3. I have learned it is better to not put the phone too close to a table lamp.
Or to have the phone out of arm's reach on the other side of the room with a coffee table in between.

6. Actually I wonder if any of our leaders was ever "ready" for the
emergencies they faced? From experience with family emergencies I know that it is basic instinct and courage along with a willingness to learn what to do that gets me through. *ss apparently did not have any of this on 9/11. Nor is he bothering to with the economic crisis we are facing now.

7. Insomnia.
Just kidding. Waking up in a fox hole with bullets flying by your head at 3am would be one.

Maybe an on call emergency surgeon taking calls 24/7.

But a life long politician? PUHLEEEZ.

The more things change the more they stay the same.

14. Naw. He'll sleep right through it.
They'll have to hire someone to sit by Gramp's phone and answer it, and beat him awake with it.

If this is an emergency hang up and dial 911
Si habla Espanol oprime el numero uno
All other languages dial zero
If you want to leave a comment dial 2
If you want to subscribe to my newsletter dial 3
If you've reached the wrong number dial 9
If it's the bitch that keeps calling Bill, get a life.
Thank you, your call is important to me.
