When the polls were coming out just before the 2000 elections, some were indicating the possibility that Gore could win the Electoral vote but lose the popular vote, and the Bush team was trying to find a strategy to overturn it.

2. Bullshit. The GOP never had the "Superdelegate" rules the DNC has had in place

since 1984 (created to help deter the kind of mess at that convention created by Kennedy and Carter).

Clinton hasn't tried to "find a strategy" to overturn any electoral vote. The system has been in place since 1984. Why don't call into some right-wing talk show if you want to spin the facts like that. Keep that kind of crap out of DU.
