Will Clinton Run A Third-Party Candidacy?
The way I figure it:
1. Clinton has probably lost the Democratic nod.
2. She'll shown that she'll stop at absolutely nothing to get elected - she feels it's her due.

When she started asking voters to favor herself and McCain(!) over Obama, a chill went down my spine - is she setting herself up to triangulate between the two as a third-party candidate? She could pick Lieberman or some comparable faux Democrat as a running mate. It would be the standard Clinton "pick me - I'm in the middle of the two" schtick.

Not good. Please convince me that I'm hallucinating.

2. Her advisors, IMO, have not always done right by her in this campaign,
but I don't think they would recommend a 3rd party run.

And I don't think she would gamble it. She's a U.S. Senator from NY and needs to keep the bridges across all party streams.

3. No, she won't. If she loses, she will stay in the Senate as a Democratic
leader and legislator. Over time, the hatred expressed here will diminish as they see that she
really does support liberal, Democratic ideas.

4. I had a similar thought....
but don't we already have a third party? it's the bush/clinton party? they've been in power my entire adult life. Starting w/GHB's VP in 1981. Although some say it started with GHB's run as Director of the CIA in 1976. hmmm....

5. No....
As poison and evil as she is she will not take that kind of chance. She is a very nasty, spoiled, self centered clown that will drag out her campaign and try to destroy the Democratic Party from within. It reminds me of what GW Bush has done to this country. Corporate assholes don't care about this country, they just care about their bank accounts!

7. Of course not. She couldn't win and would jeopardize her Senate seat and ruin her chances in 2012.
Even thinking the absolute worst about her (which I don't), she'd work against Obama and try to position herself to run against McCain in 2012.

8. I doubt it.
Perhaps she'd make a good Senate Majority Leader?

9. Never in your dreams, but Obama probably would, considering he's so close to Republicans
and knows how to reach out to them so well.

12. No, like the way his endorser, John Kerry, reached out to McCain to be his VP

11. She can run as the Narcissist Party candidate
She will have to decide who she wants as her running mate, either Joe Lieberman or Zell Miller.

14. No, she's in John McCain's party.
But if he won't have her then I suppose her personality cult will call itself "The Clinton Party" or "The Other War Party" or something.

15. No.
But she may run as McCain's VP.

Especially if McCain promises to retire either after 1 term or in mid-term.
