To my fellow Obama supporters
Is it really needed to call her a "monster"?
Is it really needed to question their intelligence? -> http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=4998143&mesg_id=4998143

I like Obama and I know he had a bad night last week, but he had a good month before. This thing is not over. Can't there be any civility?
Thanks.

5. Hillary's kitchen sink was the last straw. Why should we be nice just to get whacked on the head?
What are we, masochists?

a living fucking hell. Sorry, that's the way it goes.

And quite a few other of her calculations.

to prove how terrible they are? If it bothers you, let it sink silently, would be my recommendation.

15. It's still wrong.
All of you are forgetting the real villain here, and that is John McCain.
I believe that both Obama and Clinton are much better than McCain is.
Do you really want him as President?

24. tell that to Hillary
Write her and tell her who the real villain is. Tell her to stop fluffing up John McCain and stop telling people he's qualified to be Commander In Chief. You know why. Because he's not. Being alive for 70+ years and being in the hanoi hilton for 5 years doesn't qualify you to be commander in chief.

18. Monster as in Samantha Powers actual meaning isnt derogatory
Her actual quote (chopped up by the pro-Hillary MSM to just she's a monster) was:
"She's a monster who'll do anything to win"

20. I used to be "civil"
I strived to call Hillary supporters... Hillary supporters. I didn't source bullshit from right wing blogs and pundits. I would disagree with those from the other side and try to look at it from their end and engage in spirited debate, hoping they would see things from my point of view.

I wrote, over and over again, that I would support the nominee, perhaps unenthusiastically, but support nonetheless.

But no matter what I did, I was called an Obamite, Obamatron, Obamanation, kool-aid drinker, cult member, a child, etc, etc.

But never mind that. I didn't care about what others called me.

What did it for me was when Hillary left the Democratic party. She endorsed a repuke over a fellow Democrat.

Now I don't care anymore. Maybe she was a Democrat at one point, but now she is just like Zell Miller or Joe Lieberman. It's indefensible. This isn't "hardball politics", and Obama doesn't need this to "toughen him up" for the fall. This was treachery. Pure and simple.

And I'm done with her. She is dead to me. And her supporters can take a flying f' at the moon.

So, while I appreciate you sentiments, no... I won't do it. I won't call her a monster because there are some very nice fictional monsters. And I won't question the intelligence of her supporters because I already know all I need to know about that subject. I don't want her or them to be considered democrats, progressives, maybe, but they aren't democrats, at least to me. Loyalty to the party and our democratic candidates ought to mean something.

31. Well, your closing is a bit redundant, however unfortunate.
"dirty politics"

One would think that different standards would apply for intra-party contests, but the Clintons seem to be lacking any sense of propriety.

32. Same here
I endured all kinds of insults and insinuations that I was part of a cult etc. etc. I always answered civilly even when someone responded with more insults. Then I discovered that inspite of me being polite and civil I was still added to ignore list just cause I had a different opinion. After that I thought "what the hell, why should I be civil when the other side doesn't return the favor". Anymore I post what I feel.

21. It *would* be preferable if all were to model their behavior on Obama's guidelines ...
... but I can see how some might respond emotionally to the "kitchen sink" they see being thrown at Obama, both here and in the real world. Heck, look at Samantha Power's response, and she's a grown-up.
