Folks, if you’re offended at Hillary for pimping McCain over Obama, you are far, FAR from alone. Our own blog on this, which started on DU, brought 50,000 visits to the DeadElephant.ORG campaign site yesterday alone. The outrage is everywhere, everywhere, everywhere.

This is Hillary’s “Howard Dean Scream” moment. It will never be forgotten. Certain moments in a politician’s career are especially revealing, and this is one I think we all wish that we’d never seen. Though in our heart of hearts… we’ve always known that she had it in her to be this ruthless.

So, in the interests of staunching the damage that Hillary has chosen to inflict on the Democratic Party, DeadElephant.ORG has launched a respectful petition to the Super Delegates, which we hope you will join in signing.

Super Delegates: Stop the Damage, Pledge for Obama NOW

To the Democratic Super Delegates:

Recent statements by Senator Clinton which suggested that the Republican nominee is better qualified to serve as President than our own party's front-runner for the nomination, Senator Obama, have caused irreparable harm to the Democratic Party. Before further damage to our party occurs, we ask you to rebuke Ms. Clinton, and to publicly pledge your support for Obama TODAY.

Hillary Clinton's action was an act of disloyalty to the party. The closest comparable action is Lieberman's endorsement of McCain. However, It appears that Lieberman is no longer a Democrat, or minimally, his political career AS a Democrat is finished.

Clinton has back-stabbed the party that she wants to LEAD. And, there are still Democrats who support her candidacy? This does NOT show good judgment on her part. And, people think that she is qualified to be CinC?
