About that Hillary momentum -- can we talk?
1. The truth is that there were 5 primaries last Tuesday, and she won three: Rhode Island, Ohio, and Texas popular vote. She lost two: Texas caucus and Vermont.

2. She had enormous leads in Ohio and Texas. The Ohio lead was halved, and she nearly lost the Texas popular vote.

3. Obama won in Wyoming over the weekend, and he's heading for another win in Mississippi:

I'll give her credit for excellent framing and good leveraging of media salivation tendencies. But momentum? No.

2. Her "momentum" exists only through pundits on cable.

10. Want Another Pillow, Hillary?
She smacked around the media for a year until she fumbled an immigration question and the cracks showed. She lost Iowa and completely unravelled into a tail-spin. She played up victim, whereupon she "found her voice." She then proceeded to smack around the media for going easy on Obama, who was running a clean, civil, inspiring campaign based upon well-grounded policy positions. I know it's hard getting the first question all the time(?), but unless she is really, really losing her sh-t, she has the media by the collective bollocks.

3. Wyoming and Mississippi don't count....won't affect momentum
They are just red states and Queen Hillary could care less.

6. Actually, her ability to lead the media around by the nose is damned funny.
"We must win Texas, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. And if we do, we're going all the way!" :woohoo:

And the media doesn't bother to project ahead and realize that she has phenomenal leads in these states that will be essentially impossible to overcome. And when she hangs on by the slimmest of margins, they start celebrating before she does. (Not because they are stumping for Hillary but because keeping her in contention props up the ratings and keeps the advertising dollars flowing.) And they top it off with, "No doubt, Obama will try to spin this with some complex math about the delegate count." :eyes:

4. Remember the word games
the Clintons are famous for them. Momentum only indicates movement, not direction or speed. Even if you say she's 'Gaining Momentum' it doesn't mean that her situation is improving only that she's accelerating.
