5. Obama nor Clinton will loose to McCain. Either one will win. Cause
Democrats are MOTIVATED! The election turnout could be 70% (my guess). And that means the democratic base will finally show up to vote.

How dare you imply that either of our nominees will tank! (and Applegrove flounces away)

50. Yep. I realize the there are many more Obama supporters here now
than Clinton supporters, but i see a large number of his supporters are saying they just won't vote if he isn't the nominee. As someone pointed out yesterday that means -1 vote for the Dems and +1 vote for the Repubs.

31. motivation
Women are motivated to bolt the Democratic ticket. As I mentioned in another post, the mass exodus will be felt all over the land if Obama gets the nomination....the exodus from the Democratic party in November. Not only women but many men - whole families have vowed to go over to McCain.
The democrats will LOSE AGAIN.
It is sad that after all bad things of the last seven years, we feel more like trusting a Repub instead of McCain. But it is what it is. People reap what they sow.

33. That alone has to have the Party leaders scheeeting their collective pants
on both sides of the isle. Americans movtivated in this magnitude has to have them really scared. It is better to have a government that is afraid of the people, than the other way around. The turnout numbers, I am sure is being noted by both parties.

28. With the democratic turnout almost doubling the republican...
turnout, how will the democratic nominee lose? Are most of Clintons supporters that close to being republican? Will her supporters jump ship so that McCain can win...just curious?

Same goes for the big state argument, will the supporters that helped Clinton win some big states, switch over to the republican side or just note vote so he wins? More and more I think Clinton is Bush lite because if her supporters are willing to do this it just supports that thought, they want someone like bush?????

that gave Bush his victory in 2004? If there wasn't then Americans were pretty ignorant back then and you are right.

I really didn't have an argument, more of a question.

So are you saying that the Clinton voters will vote for a Republican or sit it out so the Republican can win? Thats what I am confused about. Why would so called democrats want a Republican in office?

His road to 270 is next to impossible. Many DINOs may crossover to McCain; McCain has the RINO vote locked up, and most centrist and conservative-leaning Indeps in places like Ohio will go to McCain.

And sometimes voters do separate the presidential race and the other races.
When Bill Clinton won, Dems lost 10 seats in the House as I recall.
Dems will gain seats this year in both houses even with a McCain win.
