1. I just want a Dem in office.
I'd prefer it be Obama/Clinton but I'll take Clinton/Obama. We are after all still fighting to rebuild our broken down country.

2. I definitely want a unity ticket...
...and I think

Obama/Edwards

Obama/Richardson

WOULD UNIFY THE PARTY AND BLOW THE HOUSE DOWN!!!

What do you mean? If you would explain what exactly you mean by
"unity ticket," maybe I could answer. If you mean, do I want Clinton to be his V.P., then hell no.

28. I agree
She is using Karl Rovian tactics and I am so sad that any Democrat could act the way she, her husband and her campaign staff have conducted themselves. So I would have to vote "no" if unity means that a Clinton would have one single bit more power than she already has. And this is coming from a woman who used to say, "Hillary in '08, Chelsea in '16!"

Edited on Mon Mar-10-08 10:54 PM by IndianaGreen
Hillary is a polarizer that has managed to alienate the African American community in ways the GOP couldn't dream of doing.

Yep, I want a unity ticket, but we have better choices than Hillary: Edwards, Biden, Dodd, Richardson, etc.

53. One of the best political marks ever
It's a stunning achievement in political marketing. Just think how hard companies like McDonalds work (including financial investment) to have people associate the famous golden arches symbol with buying hamburgers-- tremendous brand recognition.

It's genius.

22. OK. Obama - Clinton.
Since 45% of Democratic Obama supporters supposedly like this idea, I wanted to get a sense of whether or not that figure was even close. Early responses indicate that idea is an emphatic no.

14. Oh, the ticket will be "unified" alright: Senator Obama will be at the top of it, HRC will be back
in New York, tending to her senatorial duties.

-(for the record, I voted *No* on the implication that HRC would be any part of the ticket once Senator Obama is declared the nominee.)

27. I need an other option: I'm not ready to say yes or no, or I'm torn.
I can't say "no" because I'm not that knee-jerk about it.

But I'm honestly not sure that a Clinton/Obama OR an Obama/Clinton ticket is truly a "dream ticket." I am steadfast in my belief that Obama should be and will be the nominee. As of today he has:

1) more pledged delegates
2) more delegates even if you accept the Clinton campaigns ridiculous spin and count only primaries
3) more popular vote
4) more states won
5) more money

He's the nominee.

Having said that, I want him to seriously consider all options. There are a lot of other interesting ticket options. Obama/Clark? Obama/Biden?(foreign policy out the ass) And yes, Obama/Clinton - could be a powerful force. I don't know. I don't want to rush to a decision.

34. Well, for some of us it's very simple: no Hillary then no vote for president in November.
Remember that the polls are saying that nationally 1 in 4 of Hillary supporters will rather vote for McCain than Obama. Ditto in NJ, and we are a very blue state. Add to that the people like myself who might not bother to vote or consider Nader and let's see how well Obama does in the GE without Hillary and her supporters.

41. Hillary didn't propose unity ...

Hillary proposed bitchery. As in, Obama you're ahead so I consent to allow you to be my bitch. In the process she contradicted her own notion that Obama wasn't ready to be president. Jeesh, can you imagine the ads against either Obama/Clinton, Clinton/Obama?
??
Obama rightfully declined. He's in the driver seat. And guess what? Hillary isn't going to be riding shotgun. Count on the good graces of Senator Obama that she will not be kicked out of the car.

It means McCain will probably lose his home state in the GE, *and* we flip it blue, *and* we get a mixed-gender ticket, *and* we set up 16 years of expertise in governance. :)
