Why do Clinton surrogates love to bring up the race card at every opportunity?

5. Because accusing people of playing the race card lets them appeal to the baser thoughts of about 80%

of Americans (i.e White people) while only pissing off a group of 12% (i.e. Black people) along with some of the non-black people who recognize the stunt for what it is.

And at this point her supporters already have been complaining that she doesn't get any Black voters anyway, so the tactic really doesn't cost her that much. It only costs her White people who are disgusted by the tactic.

Why, if you believed that, then you would probably believe that they would stoop to any level to attempt to win this nomination. Wouldn't you? No, the Clinton campaign is not involved in this, as far as I know.
