**** OFFICIAL Super Delegate News and Information Thread ****

READ THIS FIRST:
This thread is to be a resource for all of DU, including both the Clinton and Obama factions.
Kindly refrain from making comments intended to goad, gloat over, insult, or demean anybody here.

We are all craving information about the Super Delegates. Here are some questions we need answers to:

1. What is the count today of declared vs. undeclared Super Delegates?
2. Have any Super Delegates publicly declared their support in recent days?
3. Have any Super Delegates switched their declared support in recent days?
4. Has Nancy Pelosi already declared her support? (prior to her comments today)
5. How many Edwards Delegates are there?
6. Are Edwards Delegates free to choose whom to support? (Are they in effect Super Delegates?)
7. Have any Super Delegates, other than Pelosi, made any public comments regarding Senator Clinton’s remarks about herself, McCain, and Obama last Tuesday March 6th.
8. Where can we get a list of the names and offices of the Super Delegates?

Any information you have for DU would be appreciated. If you have questions I didn’t cover, please pose them.

Perhaps if we can work together in gathering this information, which affects all of us, that might be a baby step towards rebuilding unity in our party.

1. Some answers.
1---453(declared) to 352(undeclared), although if Spitzer resigns that number changes.

2---19 since March 4th, 14 for Obama.

3---Last defection was from Clinton to Obama on 2/27

4---no.

5---26 Pledged, no Superdelegates.

6---Not sure. I believe they could. If it goes to a second round all delegates are released.

7---?

8---go to this site for all things Superdelegates, the best one for it!

4. Hillary's lead among super-delegates is less than 40
I really don't know why Clinton supporters are so convinced that she will win the convention by winning two or three "important" states when it's clear that she's losing the delegate race. After all, the delegate race is what counts.

I'm sure this thing will go to the convention, but I think Obama will win it there.
