At this point, for the good of the Democratic party, Hillary should call it quits
Intentional or not, far too many of Hillary's supporters have made statements provoking racial controversy. These supporters are not racist, but they have played the race-card (Obama's supporters have played it, too), and the accumulated weight of the comments have had the worst possible effect on the campaign.

The campaign against McCain is guaranteed to be ugly no matter who runs against him; but there's no reason to divide (or even destroy) the Democratic constituency before the nominee is even settled.

Time for Hillary to graciously -- and quickly -- step down.

the good of the Democratic Party she would have quit a month ago.

4. Hillary's career is over. She is now a party outcast. Hope she..
.. enjoys her last few years in the Senate. They will be her last. Pelosi made that clear today.

talk about not needing a weatherman to see which way the wind is blowing-I guess that idea she had about trying to kife off super delegates to somehow steal this election idea just went out the window

8. I'm actually kind of sad. She blew all of Bill's political capital
.. for what? To end it all with a bunch of racist shit. Going out ugly.

This is why I didn't reply to your earlier thread on the unity ticket. She no longer can be rehabilitated.

28. In regards to the "dream ticket".
"I think that the Clinton administration has fairly ruled that out by proclaiming that Senator McCain would be a better commander-in-Chief than Obama," she said.

Edited on Tue Mar-11-08 07:56 PM by MH1
didn't go unnoticed after all.

I really have to think the party elders (those who aren't bound to the Clintons somehow) are about going ballistic behind the scenes, about the b.s. Clinton is pulling.

You're using "Baracka" to insinuate - not subtly, either - that Obama is really a dirty, dangerous Muslim, huh? I'm truly disgusted.

6. We have all been saying this for weeks. She is to self centered to consider it. Just wants to
destroy our nominee's chances in the GE so she has a shot to run again in 2012.

11. Obama should renounce his swiftboat tactics
Voters are sick of his whining and his sexist attacks on Clinton. He's running the most destructive, divisive campaign I've seen in 30 years. He apparently has so much hatred for the Democratic Party that he thinks its fine to destroy it in an attempt to win.

He should be called out for what he is and banned from the party.

33. She will not get the delegates she needs.
She CANNOT win the nomination. If she were truly concerned first for the Democratic Party, she would face the facts.

I would love a woman to be president. I would have preferred Barbara Boxer. Since that was not happening, and Gore doesn't want it and John Edwards suspended, I chose Obama. I am not prejudiced towards my own gender. Hillary will never justify her refusal to admit she erred on her vote for IWR. That pretty much decided me on her.

He loves his electronic map :P and is always playing around with it.

If she wins W Va; PA; Fl; Mi and some other states, she can do it.
