That's more like it!








(Pretend that the 10 and 20 lines are actually 0. Does anyone know how to make Excel label different parts of the axis differently?)

Gallup has the same number for Obama, but falsely shows Clinton climbing:

7. Yeah, but linear trends are a crap statistic
At least when you're talking about percentage shares of a finite whole, linear trends for popularity numbers that jag up then down several times over three months are entirely pointless.
