CNN is showing a split state. Meaning one victory for Obama and one victory for Clinton.

8. You do realize--or maybe you don't--
that the Texas "caucus" has two more rounds to go? No one is allotted any delegates out of the process until June, and matters can become quite volatile between now and then.

Kick back and get a grip.

I doubt it. They just need to be able to point to another possible source of delegates to talk up their chances with SDs and fundraisers.

27. Actually, she's right
I don't know if the delegate count will change in the next few rounds or not. It could swing toward Obama, even.

I have a friend who's a precinct captain who is preparing for an all out delegate-flipping onslaught from the Clinton partisans. There were reports of flat-out fraud at the caucuses and they've all been about Clinton supporters. Here's a really entertaining one: http://frontburner.dmagazine.com/2008/03/05/precinct-3549-sandra-crenshaw-goes-berserk/ (well, as entertaining as a story about a precinct being disenfranchised by a nutcase can be).

29. Yes the process is well documented, but for her to tell people to get a grip
is ridiculous. We all know that ALL the numbers are projections cause even though highly unlikely delegates can switch whenever they want. So everything is projected even Nevada. So she needs to get a clue about telling people to get a grip and to be snarky about it is even more insulting.

48. According to the Lone Star Project, delegates are pledged to their
'assigned' candidates....didn't sound like a lot of wiggle room to me. I can't imagine a delegate in my local election NOT staying with his/her candidate....seems to defeat the purpose of the convention (caucus) in the first place. See what you think,,,,,it's under "Quick Facts".

49. Listen, any pledged delegate can switch, however it is VERY UNLIKELY
since whoever is picked as a delegate to represent the winning candidate is usually a fervent supporter of said candidate. I am not questioning the rules in fact the opposite, they are obvious. All I was saying is that caucuses for states besides TX have to go through this multi step process and for her to act all snarky is wrong.

32. March 29th is the deadline. And TX Dems have given up on a public running tally
Apparently, slowing the process is that some precincts "mistakenly sent their results to the state rather than the county".

http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5iiLpWMaIEe0T0buAOcXm-Eb7DIQQD8VBG4M80

Curious whether Barack Obama or Hillary Rodham Clinton won Texas' Democratic caucuses March 4? The official results won't be available until March 29. Until then, the last reported results — from 41 percent of the precinct caucuses — show Obama ahead with 56 percent to Clinton's 44 percent.

Obama has won at least 31 delegates from the caucuses and Clinton has won at least 27, according to The Associated Press count. The remaining nine delegates will be awarded after the official results are announced at the end of the month.

The state Democratic Party gave up Monday on its effort to produce a running public tally of the count. The state party had set up a reporting system, outside the official count, that relied on 8,247 precinct chairmen to voluntarily call their results to 254 county chairmen who would relay them to state party headquarters.

But an estimated 1 million Democrats — far more than ever before — showed up for the caucuses, which were held right after voting ended in the first part of the Democratic contest: a standard primary administered by state government.

31. And in even more breaking CNN news, yesterday was March 10 and today...
is March 11th!!!!!! Standby for our panel of experts to analyze this CNN
exclusive....

How nice of them to actually mention we even had a caucus. Since they didn't bother to acknowledge it on Super Tuesday, they were too busy declaring HRC's TX "win".

At this rate, they will let us know Obama won the primary election....in Jan 2009...... as he is making his inaugeration speech.
