Remember...it was the Clintons that Moved the Party to the Right
Edited on Tue Mar-11-08 09:02 PM by Bullet1987
This isn't about that bigot Ferraro, it's about Clinton's coziness with Rethugs. I'll link you to a thread started by another DUer. If Hillary becomes President, expect the DLC to become stronger and a focal part of her Administration. I have no doubt that the Clinton campaign would be the nail in the coffin of the Left. The Clinton's have always held us at disdain and contempt anyway...Hillary is a self-admitted "Goldwater Girl" from when she was younger.

It has poked it's head out in this campaign too, with her quasi-endoresment of McLame.

3. Bill Clinton won in 1992 ONLY because Ross Perot took away large numbers of Republican votes.
Bill Clinton won in 1996 because his opponent was Bob Dole, one of the most boring politicians on the planet.

Bill Clinton then gave us NAFTA, media deregulation, Republican sponsored "welfare reform", and pushed through repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act, which made possible the practices in the mortgage and real estate industries that is causing the financial and economic meltdown we see today.

Bill Clinton won by a fluke, and if Hillary becomes president (doubtful) and she continues policies that follow along the same path (probable), this country is going to suffer some serious consequences.

4. And Bill Clinton won in 1992
NAFTA was passed with side agreements. Side agreements that have never been enforced by the Bush Administration.

The sub-prime crisis is due to lack of regulation by the Bush Administration.

And he won again in 1996 because the economy started to come back due to his policies.

But I have heard the Ross Perot excuse by a few of my Republican buddies - whatever works right?
