Poll question: Was it racist when @90% of African Americans voted for Kerry, Gore and Clinton in the gen election?
Kerry won 88% of the black vote
http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2004/pages/results/states/US/P/00/epolls.0.html

Gore won 90% of the black vote
http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2000/results/

Clinton won 84% of the black vote
http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/1996/elections/natl.exit.poll/index1.html

For those of you who think this is racism, what should we do about it?

3. What percentage did they get in the Primaries? I bet Gore won the huge majority

in the 2000 primaries also.

edit to add - 1992 "In 1992, Bill Clinton captured huge majorities of the black vote in Democratic primaries in key states, winning at least 70 percent in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Texas, according to surveys of voters leaving the polls. "

edit to add again - 2000 Democratic Primary (not GE) - "''I'd say if the election were held today, clearly Gore would get 80 percent'' of the black vote in Louisiana, said Ben Jeffers, an African-American who is that state's Democratic chairman.

-snip-
''The black community votes in such a unified fashion that it has become a tradition that we stick together,'' said Jacques A. DeGraff, a black Baptist minister who serves as senior adviser to the Bradley campaign. ''Traditionally, we deliver 80 percent to the candidates we get behind. So it takes a great deal of activity to begin the shift. At first it will be imperceptible. Then it will be a trickle. And then I believe it will be a flood.'' "
