The Clintons --- Eddie Haskell Reborn
Edited on Wed Mar-12-08 10:47 AM by Armstead
Remember Eddie Haskell from the old TV show Leave it to Beaver?

Whenever around the Beav's parents, Eddie was all sweetness and light. "Gosh Mrs. Cleaver you look lovely today. I was just telling Wally and Theodore how lucky they are to have parents like you."

But as soon as the adults were gone, he became his true self. Sneaky, ill tempered, mean-spirited and willing to do anything to get his way....And when caught, wiggling out of it by finding whoever was nearby to shift the blame to.

"Hey Wally. Boy did you get a load of you old lady's dress? Looks like she borrowed a burlap sack. What say we steal your Dad's car and go buy some cigarettes. You're lucky your parents are such pushovers."

IMO the Clintons are bringing back the spirit of Eddie Haskell. It's always been there -- the dichotomy between public and private behavior. This campaign seems to be bringing it out in both of them.

"Senator Obama I am honored, honored to be on the stage with you..."

Then when his back is turned..."Shame on you Barak Obama." and "He's not fit to be president."...

3. Well duh...that's the way it works in politics.
I'm not going to defend the Clintons but everybody does that to some extent. And when the race heats up you're bound to see some burns.

4. Eddie Haskell thought older peole were stupid.
H. Clinton thinks the voters are stupid.

She is correct to a large degree.

5. But the "stupid" older people saw through Eddie
Mr. and Mrs. Cleaver knew what Eddie was.

As the Clinton's become less subtle and more obvious, it's still an open question whether they will catch on too.

A glimpse in Eddie's room gives us a bit of insight as to what state Mayfield may be located in, as he has a pennant on the wall that reads "Ohio State." I
