We can whine and scream all we want but none of this on GD:P is going to change the race. The occasional post may enlighten us, but, the majority are just pissing battles.

1. What if all the ridiculous, over-the-top, circular-firing-squad vitriol
drives away new voters who are lurking, trying to find out about candidates?

Sure, it may not have what a statistician would consider a significant effect... but still...

25. If our posts reflected the race, 80% of Americans would support Obama
But that is not the case.

4. Well excuse me...
I personally take credit for Obama's Idaho win. He was going to lose by 15% points but because of my brave posts... he won by a landslide... I mean sure... I have never been to Idaho.. I don't know anything about Idahoians... but I feel that I single handedly have turned that contest for Obama.

9. This place is awesome for its function.
...which is to serve as a sewer system, cleansing the shit. I find great humor in it mostly, but precisely because I like big smelly fart jokes.

14. I see this as ...

I see this as paid Clinton staffers vs. Obama volunteers. We have to make our points for Obama.

Hillary is throwing the party under the bus on behalf of her own ambition. It's obvious that her staffers are here trying to convince us all that this is the correct thing to do and Obama supporters are just naive.

I don't think so. If Hillary was an effective campaigner she would never have squandered the lead the media set her up with. She would have had it all sewn up by now. Instead OBAMA has the insurmountable lead and Hillary's last gasp is to drive a wedge through her own party with the race card and steal the nomination via bribing and bullying delegates at the convention.

Her selfish egotism will not even allow Florida and Michigan to revote so they can select legal delegates that can represent Florida and Michigan at the convention.

Beyond abortion and a few vagaries of tax policy, I think there is little difference between McCain and Hillary. They are both people who have sacrificed their character for the sake of personal ambition. They've both sold their souls and their proper place is hell rather than the White House.

Congratulations on your volunteer efforts for Obama.

23. It's Fun To Read & Post Here, But It's Not Making Much Of A Difference For Clinton or Obama
Edited on Wed Mar-12-08 11:00 PM by Dinger
If you want to help your candidate, get out there and go get 'em! Come here to check in or whatever, but if you really want to make a difference for your candidate, get a-movin'!
