1. I am an Obama supporter now (after Edwards).
And I hope to goodness HRC drops out and endorses Obama soon. I fear that she won't, and that her failure to do so quickly will damage the party, as I said here:

http://journals.democraticunderground.com/Laelth/22

But, after the election theft of 2000, after I was told many times to "get over it," I can't hear those words without cringing. To the extent Hillary's supporters honestly believe she is the best candidate and to the extent that they support her with all their hearts, I won't ever ask them to "get over it." I grieve with them. I respect that they are doing what they feel is right. Victory is not yet certain, neither for Obama, nor for the Democratic Party in November.

I won't ask any Hillary supporters to "get over it." I will ask them to help us win, regardless of who the nominee is, in November.

-Laelth

5. Hillary is just pissing a lot of people off at this point.
She needs to think about her career in the Senate.

7. So why hasn't the Obama campaign get this Obamite memo?
Or does he just want to divide the party instead of staying above the fray, which is what a candidate who has effectively wrapped up the nomination usually does? Obamites can't reconcile the inconsistency between their "hope" and Obama's actions.

8. She has just as much chance as Obama at this point. The only
people she is pissing off are the Obama supporters who are posting here.
They're terrified she is going to go into the convention and win.

Be afraid, be VERY afraid.

10. Evidently you're the one who needs to get over it
Since you're still obsessed with her despite her supposed defeat.

13. I don't know what hope she's clinging to.
It's really destructive to the party...

14. I think Hillary needs to get over herself, but her supporters have the right not to be over it yet.
These kinds of posts just divide us further, imo.
