Do you think Kerry's handling of his service records is a strategy?

Let the GOP get themselves all in a froth, and eventually release the records only to have them find out that there's nothing there to impugn.

Sounds like the GOP is intimating that maybe Kerry's Purple Hearts were somehow undeserved, and they think there might be something in his records to support this. Even at the end of the day, if it turns out that one of his Purple Hearts was for a less than serious injury, I think that most folks are going to wonder what all the fuss was about. He was injured, he got a medal, what are you folks screaming about?

I don't think demeaning the recipient of medals for service to his country will play well. The more I watch Rove operate, the more I think he's losing his magic touch.
