Keith Olbermann: Hillary is guilty by association, Obama is an angel from heaven.
That 20 minutes of apologist ass kissing by KO said more about him as a person than all of his 'special comments' rolled together.
Shameful.

29. Thanks for the comment. Too many people don't get that concept.
KO gave equal time to Obama and Hillary. 15 minutes to let Obama explain
his position on the biggest story in the news in a year and 15 minutes
of Hillary attack saying she wasn't as involved in passing schip as she said. BIG deal! Talk about pulling rabbits out of his hat/ass. So that's what he calls fair and balanced news? Maybe we should alert BillO to Keith's unfair and unbalanced news. Anyone want to go first? I'm afraid I might slip on his slimy floor.

Yes he should have. He was much more at ease slamming women with his sexist remarks when he was a sports caster for Fox Sports Net in the late 90's-early 2000's, prior to working for ESPN.

And that goes double for Allison, whom I used to think was a Goddess. Her snide remarks insinuating that if Hillary was not to blame for Wright them she was deriving malicious enjoyment from the meltdown of her party were divide and conquer at its worst. Woman must be a Republican.

Do you think KO was being soft on Obama when he went right to the heart of the controversy on the very first question?

You know, no one else that I've ever seen can handle this kind of flap any better than Obama does.

I know this must infuriate a lot of people who want to see Obama crash and burn, but it's hardly KO's fault now, is it?

45. DLC? Obama has DLC written all over him. He just isn't a card carrying member.
Ford predicted the DLC will play a major role in the issues debate that unfolds in the 2008 Democratic presidential primary process. The group will not side with any one candidate, he said, even though the organization has close ties to a number of potential nominees, from Vilsack to Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.) and Joe Biden (Del.) to Gov. Bill Richardson (N.M.). Even Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.) has expressed interest in "finding ways he could work with the DLC," according to Ford. (Ford describes Obama as a "personal friend" and says they talk regularly.)

http://blog.washingtonpost.com/thefix/2007/01/fords_next_move.html

From a year ago:

DailyKos straw poll shows shows Kossacks prefer John Edwards 37% to Obama’s 27% with Wesley Clark a distant third at 14% (the Blogometer has checked these numbers at 6K, 13K ,and 16K votes and there has been no change in the %s). Netroots ambivalence towards Obama’s candidacy seems to stem from two related sources: 1) his perceived centrist/Liebermanesque/DLC rhetoric; 2) and his inability/refusal to lead take the lead on a major progressive issue (especially the war).

http://hotlineblog.nationaljournal.com/archives/2007/01/obama_wire_the.html

The DLC doesn’t necessarily pre-select candidates, but they do keep an eye out for possibilities. Obama has been on their watch-list for some time. Now that they see his sex appeal, they may rally behind him. He could be Hillary without the polarizing effect, a real possibility to hold the office.

41. One of the things that struck me was ...
we're supposed to accept, and understand, that Jeremiah Wright comes from a different era, things were different, his views are colored by his experience .... HOWEVER .... Geraldine Ferraro, who also made controvertial remarks is a racist old bitch.

All I'd like to see is some honesty, fairness, and integrity included in the debate ... on ALL sides, especially the MSM. This is why I feel disappointed in KO ... nothing close to even-handed in his treatment of these two incidents.

Keith Olbermann spent his remaining segement bashing Hillary Clinton over Geraldine Ferraro's comments while her comments were out of line it can't be compare to what this pastor said, yet Keith allow Obama to push some distance between and this Wright person while what two days ago Olbermann would let you believe Hillary Clinton fully endorse Ferraro's comment but tonight Olbermann played Obama PR rep. 56. I busted up at the beginning
Olbermann throttled up the emphasis and decibel level, and rattled off at least 3 high octane words to describe Obama's denouncing of the pastor's remarks: "vehemently, ardently and categorically..." Those might not be the exact words. I was laughing too hard to remember them specifically. But you get the idea. Can you imagine Olbermann bending over to that extreme to immunize Hillary? He drifts into self parody more and more with each program.

Obama really blew it with one response, when he insisted he was not present when the specific comments were made. Olbermann predictably tried to let that slide but Jonathan Alter, in a brief detour to journalism, caught it. It's almost impossible to believe that pastor surrounded all his controversial remarks with pollyanna it's-a-wonderful-world type of fluff.

You know damn well more old sermons will be explored, including dates when Obama was known to be in attendance. Then what does he say, if he failed to depart and denounce? To me it's not an issue but that's irrelevant. It will be an issue to others. Obama displayed poor political instincts, and that's what I'm worried about going forward.

57. Yeah, I think Alter was sadly trying to point out to Keith that Obama
was just caught in a lie, on tape, on his show. I don't have anything against Obama's love for this spiritual advisor and I'm far left enough to agree with some of the things I saw the Rev. say on those videos. I'm just dumbfounded by the hypocrisy of Keith Olbermann. He was my favorite evening news person. He was starting to take those Special Comments a little too far and the one he did on Hillary was beyond belief. I hope all of this gets put away soon. And, uh, Keith was sick? Was he sick and just came in because Obama said he would be on his show and then he left? I'm confused. That was a really strange hour.

The Republicans will try and use this in the fall, but maybe Obama can work his magic and keep the damage to a minimum. McCain has plenty of problems of his own.

73. Do you actually have any evidence?
Anything?

Please make your OP substantive and post any evidence of what you say.

Or possibly could you be just a little blinkered? blind? or just plain prejudiced against Olbermann?

Any evidence?
