I am blown away by this election. Its a complete joke.
I knew the sexism and racism would come out, but I never imagined it would be so severe.

My God... this primary season has been so damn brutal to Democrats.

To start, it really got fueled when Clinton lost Iowa, and it hasn't gotten any better. It has only become far worse. Unfortunately, Clinton is the type of person who WON'T accept losing. She will just not accept it.

Women being sexist against men. Men being sexist against women. Blacks being racist against whites. Whites being racist against blacks.

This whole damn "political battle" is just a RACE and SEX war. Really, that is what it seems like. It isn't even an election.

The media has completely ran with it and never looked back. Hispanics have become a huge deal, and are said to be racist against Obama. Apparently this is also a battle between young and old. How long before "ageism" becomes a major focus in the media? Of course, there also is the whole thing about religion (especially Muslims and Jews).

Doesn't matter if you are young or old. Black, white, Asian, or Latino. Muslim, Christian, or Jew. Male or female. This has been made into an all out melee and we have fell for this ridiculous game.

I have seen so many disgusting comments from supporters of both Obama and Clinton. Here on the DU, and in the news. It never ends, and the media loves it.

So many are missing the point of this political battle. It isn't about man vs woman, black vs white, etc etc etc. It is about the next leader of the most powerful nation on Earth. This isn't some silly little game, but unfortunately to many it is.

Hillary supporters, I know you don't want to hear this. I KNOW how hard it is when your candidate loses, but I really, really feel it is time to support Barack Obama. He WILL he the nominee. His policies are similar to Hillary's so he shouldn't be hard to accept. If we can just get over this silly war, we will beat McCain. We WILL. We are on the SAME team. Ironically though, we seem farther apart than ever before. I'm sorry, but Hillary isn't going to be the nominee. It just won't happen. There is only one possible way for Obama to lose, and that is for him to implode. I know any true Democrat wouldn't want that. It is time to rally around the person who will represent all of us this November. If we as Democrats can't all accept Obama's message of unity, there is no way in Hell we will win in November. This has been the ugliest political battle I have ever seen, and I feel if we can't rally around Obama soon, we will be going through the next 4-8 years with President McCain. We have all become too caught up with this civil war, and the Republicans love it. It needs to end.

And you know what? If we lose in November, at this rate we completely deserve it. Right now Democrats are doing far more damage to the party than Republicans are. Here is a fact: people will be very upset by the end of this primary season. There is absolutely no way to avoid the inevitable. What we can do however is accept that Obama is far, far better than McCain and vote for him. For now though, we have to stop bringing him down. People need to look at the BIG picture. This is a very long term thing, and some of us need to start acting like it is and get over Hillary losing.

I know this post won't go well with many here, but I don't give a shit. I just felt like ranting for anyone who cares to listen.

The media definately causes people to think about our divisions rather than what we all have in common, and I think our future depends on a more independent-minded mainstream media.

10. And the violent and public rape of our Constitution
by BushCo for the last 7 years. I'd feel a lot better if I heard either Clinton or Obama hammering that theme 24/7 but I'm not holding my breath.

6. I've played games against people who won't accept losing
Ever played poker with someone who keeps taking more pennies out of the penny jar as they lose? It makes the game pointless.

12. "Inconvenient truths about the New Democrats, the Third Way, Democratic Leadership Council, etc."
decades ago the RW founded and funded a political machine within the Democratic Party that supports a RW agenda and RW "policies"-this is a link to a must read active GD discussion about that political machine inside the Democratic Party
