A Democratic governor toppled with the complicity of Enron. Another Democratic governor jailed in a flimsy case with Rove's fingerprints on it. A beloved, iconic American city left defenseless against a storm its levees could have been built to sustain. More arsenic in your drinking water. Over 500,000 Iraqis dead, and millions displaced. 4000 dead American soldiers. The Downing Street Memo. The Powell presentation to the UN. The meltdown of the dollar, amid historic fiscal and trade deficits. Millions more Americans losing health care coverage, and millions more who have slipped into poverty. Crumbling infrastructure. Soaring gas prices. Soaring home heating oil prices. A growing epidemic of homelessness. Declining education standards, which truly will soon leave no child behind.
