Do not run for political office!!! Ever!!! Not Ever!!!
Or have any case in court that hinges on your character.

Or want a job that hinges on your character.

Or need a loan that hinges on your character.

Or have ANY run in with the law that might be influenced by your character.

Why? Because I just saw on PBS NOW that everything we are posting over the internet can be and is probably being cataloged and is searchable. Because of proposed telecom immunity provisions in FISA, this is what is happening now.

You think Ferraro or Wright is bad? Just think about the shit some of you are saying here and how it might possibly impact you in the future.

If that doesn't scare you, I don't know what would.

Peace. Over. Standing by on DU.

1. I don't want to ever run for public office.
Personally, it's a waste of time and all the B.S involved makes it even more tiring.

9. that don't mean that there isn't something you've said or done
that they can't use to make you miserable.

you also can't assume that what they say you said will even be true, just in case you are such a boy scout.

24. Sorry, still not worried. I've got better things to do with my time.
There are enough tangible things to be concerned about without pondering what-if maybes. Yes, and I am such a boy scout.

27. well, not a smart one or not at least not a sympathetic one
the what if maybes are the reason that you should worry about this issue, not for your own sake, but if you are so high-minded, for the sake of others. but you don't so i guess you aren't.

33. Not high minded, just not worried. Besides, there is so much to worry about
and so little time if one is determined to worry. Where does one start and what gets to be first? It is such a dilemma. Actually, I gave up worrying for Lent, so I'll check on it after Easter if it's not too late.

3. Oh, and most importantly....
....make sure your long term friends don't ever say anything stupid. It sure would suck to be judged solely on what your dumbass friend said.

Then a party animal who was a "man"izer in college. I pretty much straightened out after college.

11. Ben, as in Ben Johnson the early 17 Century writer?
I'm confused. My pic is of a 'Little Bushler Alien', and if it had any literary reference it would be closer to Chaucer or Heinlein. :D

28. You didn't know this already?...... Huh.
It's been part of the internet since it started. FISA's got nothing to do with it, because posting stuff in public places (like the internet) means the public can read it, regardless of the public person being a cop, a reporter, whatever.
