Have we learned *anything* about damning a candidate because someone connected to them says something that sounds offensive?

1. That depends
Is the person the second most important adult in the candidate's life or one of hundreds of politicians supporting a candidate running a national campaign? If it is the latter we crucify them. If it is the former it is no big deal.

2. I'm getting tired of all this supporter stuff.
It really beats me why a candidates friends don't try to be good just for a few months. It seems they all want to be part of the story.

4. It is where we've gotten.
No talk of issues. Not even personality and style. It's denigrated to he said/she said pettiness.

7. WE SHOULD IGNORE ALL COMMENTS BY "SUPPORTERS"... only the candidate's words should matter....
...but it won't work that way.

8. No, because supporters inflict actual damage that requires response.
And the cycle continues.

10. It's worse than that. MSM recyles old stuff. In "photogate" they recycled stuff Michelle said 2007

and pretended she said it in 2008. They have known about Wright since last year, but they sat on the story until they needed it. Played it right after Ferraro to make Hillary supporters mad at the double standard since Ferraro and Wright as so similar but the left wing media (like KO) treated them so differently.
