Here's my bottom line without any spin
Obama will either survive the Wright thing or he won't. And we'll know that within a couple of weeks.

No one here knows enough about Wright to judge him as a human being.

Many Hillary supporters here are dying for something- anything- to destroy Obama.

Many Obama supporters here are dying for something- anything- to destroy Hillary.

The destruction of either candidate is bad for dem chances to regain the White House in November.

If Obama doesn't survive the Wright thing, it's better to know it now. If he survives it now, it's an indicator that he'll be able to survive such shit in the general.

Uncommitted SDs won't start flying to Hillary because of Wright unless it does real damage over the next couple of weeks.

You've a hypocrite if you've been howling about how no one should demand that Hillary drop out and you're now demanding that Obama drop out.

There's been a lot of ugly white entitlement on the part of Hillary supporters floating around here.

There's been a lot of bravado on the part of Obama supporters around here.

I'm beginning to not care much about who gets the nomination as I see the process as severely damaging whoever ends up with it.

Next week or the week after, something damaging to Clinton will come out. And then something damaging to Obama. Rinse, repeat, lather. That's the way this campaign has been going for some time.

13. Coming from Cali, very fair and objective.
I am now most concerned that what "Could Have Been" with either Hillary or Obama is getting damaged out of control.
It really needs to stop.
On BOTH sides.

2. Thanks. You speak for me, shockingly enough!

I've dropped out of the Obama/Wright chatter for this weekend. Others might consider that course. :dem: K & R

3. Well Said Cali.
I've become disheartened myself through all of this in certain ways. I don't like seeing Obama in the hot seat like this and it was depressing having to see him like that last night. He's worked too hard and come too far to have something like this bring him down, and yet it still might. Hopefully it won't and will just fizzle out. But yeah, it's gonna be a long road ahead for both, and it is getting a bit tiresome, ain't it. Rinse, lather, repeat indeed. (off record, lather comes before repeat lol)

8. You're right. Where are we going? And, to what end.
Last week the camps knocked-off two respected advisers in the line of fire. This week, we see a connection to an offensive friend. What next? I don't want to know anymore.

9. Kick & R-The circular firing squad is not good for the party.
Meanwhile the economy is literally falling apart. And pretty much everything else.

Our party IS the only choice to save the nation because ,regardless of who gets the nomination, we know to a mathematical certainty that the GOP will not

10. Yep. Which is why I WILL vote for the nominee
no matter what transpires. The thought of McCain as prez is not to be tolerated.

12. He'll survive, and so will we.
Guilt by association is the oldest political trick in the book, and for that reason alone it won't stick.

15. guilt by association works all the time
unfortunately. We'll just have to wait and see if he survives this. I suspect he will, but it's too early to know.

16. You know, it's funny, but..
.. I think Obama's association with Rezco
has been far worse than his association
with Pastor Wright.

Just my two cents.
