The 3AM call on Wednesday November 5th...
Edited on Sat Mar-15-08 10:24 AM by maseman
...will be from the Dems to John McCain congratulating him on his win.

I have lost so much hope and overall confidence for the Democrats to take the White House this fall. I thought it may be good for the Dems to stay in the news battling for the primary win. I could not have been more wrong. It is giving John McCain a free ride to say whatever he wants about the Iraq war (occupation) and go unchallenged. The Dems beating each other up is helping right-wing talk radio rally their troops for money to the Repukes.

And the primary has completely divided this group of people on DU. The swill I see being tossed from both camps is overbearing and extremely counter-productive. So many are no better than Freepers. Name calling, slippery slope arguments, debating stupid ass things such as what a minister said versus the issues, etc. Both Obama and Hillary have their faults. Both are not terribly "experienced" compared to others who have run for the high office. But both would be better than John McCain. However, in my eyes, right now he has it locked up until we get our shit together and fight fight FIGHT to win this thing.

1. I tend to agree with you on this
McCain is out raising money, and putting on the "ritz" for the republicans who can't stand him. He is remaking himself while Hillary and Obama are to busy fighting it out over race and gender, and things to stupid to even mention. While they continue avoiding the real issues, McCain's questionable relationship with a female lobbyist has all but died. His "flip flop" on so many things has gone unquestioned. And the really sad thing is that it is giving the right wing so much ammo against them come the GE, that it will be very hard for them to go after McCain, since they will be busy defending themselves against all this crap they are tied up in now!

We had a great field of candidate in the begining, and I thought it would be so easy to beat the republicans. Now I am not so sure.
