Increasingly, I also think he'd rather face Obama than Clinton. Yes, Clinton is generally less popular, and has higher negatives, but she is also an astoundingly dirty and vindictive campaigner. What she's proving right now is that even when she can't win, she'll do her damnedest to bloody up the winner so that he'll be too damaged to be effective later.


And when "being effective later" means doing assuming the role of President with dignity intact...


Easier to do without going through the Clinton smear machine first.
